  • One of the great scenes in this movie, my favorite of the series. I love how schizo Lana is. You shouldn't mess with it.

  • its so funny that this lana lang plays martha kent in smallville

  • How come Clark can't be this smooth in Metropolis?

  • Lana wants just to find a husband

  • Excuse me,but Clark can neither establish a stable nor a romantic relationship with any woman, which is why he broke up his relationship with Lois, wouldn´t relationship face the same obstacles he had with Lana for not being able to establish a relationhip? Thus, he can have a relationship with Lana but not with Lois? I see no consistency about that aspect of the story.

  • @focamax - if Superman had turned human again, I think he'd have had a better chance with a relationship with Lana. Oh well.

  • @reformedfruit Maybe, but he continues with powers. Bad luck for Lana,Lois and for any other woman!!!!!

  • @reformedfruit I see what you mean about the better chance of a LTR. It's because her name is a palindrome, right? Oh no wait a minute, my bad...

  • That's wrong.

  • @focamax I think the issue is that Lois falls in love with Superman. Lana is more of a country girl who has been through a lot and would fall in love with Clark Kent. I am assuming that he would never tell her he is Superman, thus being able to live a happy life.

  • Clark/Lana = truly love

    Clark/Lois = just attraction

  • Nice.

  • WHO'S THA HOT ACTRESS??

  • Wow after watchign this video I didn't realize how great of a love stroy between Clark and Lana could ahve been after Lana tells Clark "can I tell you something",and that was surely it.It started off great in the reunion, too bad the writers ran out of stuff for Clark and Lana.

  • Was it me or really how much does Kristin Kruek look like Lana in Lana's high school photo that they show a shot of?And Welling like Reeve in his high school pic?

  • Comment removed

  • This whole edit was pointless

  • @bigdoublej74 - yup

  • smallville? xDDDDDDDDDd

  • I would have to agree that The Clark/Lana scenes are really the only good thing about SupermanIII, but I too was sad they didn't add more stuff. I think this video would have been even better if you added the sweet bit of the scene with the ring and the bit where Lana is on the phone and tells Clark he's better than Superman.

  • @ifonlyclanax33 - I thought about that, but really just don't have the time or the editing ability to do it right. I thought somehow segueing to the ring-scene would have been really nice (and of course, editing out the idiotic Brad interruption.) The music for that scene it really beautiful as well...

  • All versions of Lana are generally always hotter than Lois, especially on this movie

  • Hey, good job! I also re-did this scene, check mine out.

  • Annette O'Toole is absolutely beautiful! She and Christopher Reeve had great chemistry and they could've done more with their storyline!

  • Two scenes I remember, was when Lana told Clark that she thought Superman was wonderful, but Clark was the best, and He had a look that said Lois would never had said that to him. The other was at the end when Lois was actually jealous of Lana

  • @jcueto75 Yeah, good observations. There was such character potential there, just ruined by the rest of the film.

  • @reformedfruit

Imagine what Richard Donner could have done with a Clark-Lana-Lois triangle it they would have kept him as director of the Superman movies.

  • i agree the last scene was messed up

Lana: " Clark may I ask you something"?

    ( Clark nods)

Lana: " My oil pen is leaking"

what a waste of a good scene lester does not know how to direct a superman film, this scene was going so well until the stupid cheesy bit about Lana's car

  • @fluteplaya22593 He didn't write it for Christ's sakes! He was the director. The Newmans WROTE this scene!!!

  • @Rainingagain1 i never said lester screwed up the franchise

  • So beautiful. The picnic scene is so romantic. Reeve and O'Toole really know how to convey love! They must be (or must have been in one case) honest and good people in real life. =)

  • you know MILLIONS of ppl out there WANT THE CLANA way of the story ... why can't they just REFRESH THE MYTHOS and bring the CLANA in??? in this movie and in SV, they proved to have this natural chemistry as if even fate can't resist them! Lana, in both instances, is the one to make Clark closer to the human.... closer to us and closer to our reality. we do not want a super hero to save the world... we want HUMANS!

  • love this. I remember seeing this way back in the day and wanting to see more of Clark and Lana's relationship. I was really happy to see her now working at the Planet and the ring scene. Then when Superman IV came out, uggg. No Lana, and that movie had to be the worst Superman anything I'd ever seen. They really dropped the ball.

Anyway, I love what you did wih this video and agree with your comments. Great work! AOT and CR really did a fantastic job.

  • Great Job!!!

I agree 100% with your comments about this film.

There was great chemistry and sincerity between Clark and Lana. A very interesting story and dynamic between them; the polar opposite of what was taking place in the rest of the film. It is just too bad they didn't do a better job highlighting these characters....Not to mention the rest of the film. As you said "Oh Well"... I will simply enjoy your edited version :)

  • @boingo626 - thanks for the comments. Its almost like they hired a different writer for the Clark/Lana sequences, then someone else for this disaster of a film.

  • @reformedfruit At least it's better than Superman IV. That was complete and utter shit. More like a pantomime that movie!

  • @Rainingagain1 It had better music (not that this scene had bad music, but Supes IV had John Williams return and write 3 new themes)

  • i didn't know that Smallvilles clarks mother played the original lana.

  • Yep, and she's great in this film.
