  • how do zoom in while you record?

  • Hey Guys please follow our new Youtube page youtube.com.guysfromqueens

  • i can do that with no app

  • orly??? mine does it...just got it fresh out of the box.

  • You can now pinch and zoom on the new 2.1 update

  • get the milestone....don need the app for pinch and zoom :P

  • @tenisguy10 the iphone is susposed to get flash. Nothing can beat that phone I'm have a pre plus and adobe said it will get flash too your comment is moot

  • google maps, too

  • actually the included "gallery" DOES support pinch to zoom. It could be the upgrade to 2.1 but it does.

  • droid does have pinche to zoom at least mine does

  • new update on droid supports all multitouch and pinch and zoom can be seen in the gallery its the exact same thing as itouch pinch and zoom and multitouch

  • Droid doesn't have multitouch in native apps because multitouch is an Apple patent. The European/Latin America version GSM version of Droid, Motorola Milestone has multitouch in photos and browser!

  • @evefavretto wrong, multi touch is not patented by anyone,

And droid phones have it already do your research before you miss inform ppl up here

  • Thankfully, the official 2.1 update for Droid (and every Hacked ROM) has native multitouch in everything!

  • @evefavretto multi touch is fully available on the Droid in a software update you can get. not sure if it has been released yet but google did announce the software was coming a while ago and it can simply be downloaded to your phone.

  • Download the BB gallery app, Its not much of a gallery, but it it gives pinch to everything. So, when you browse the net, you can use pinch zoom, also when viewing photo's in the viewer of your own choise.

  • Yess xD

  • you have hairy hand.. ;D

  • HaHa

  • Dolphin browser has the pinch and zoom :)

  • you can get Dolphin Browser app and its a web browser that supports pinch zoom. its much like fire fox.

  • lier!!!!!!! i tried all of thos fing things!

  • I am slightly annoyed with PicSay now because I got the new update on my G1 which supports multitouch at hardware but not software level and now i can't zoom!!!!

  • i wish people would quit saying "it doesn't have multitouch out of the box" because it DOES. thats what allows you to type on the onscreen keyboard. just because you can't pinch+zoom doesnt mean it doesn't have multitouch

  • lol, idiot. theres a reason theres 3 thumbs up on that post

  • It's MULTI Touch dude. Sorry to burst your bubble. How many fingers does it take to Pinch & Zoom dude.....LOL. It has Multi Touch built in, the default apps are not programmed to use it, rumor was because Apple was crying about it and turned political. SO, it's in the phone, but you use downloaded apps, such as Dolphin Web browser to take advantage of what's already there.

  • ha ur gay

  • Can someone explain multitouch. Are we using the terminology wrong?

  • dolphin browser is amazing! pretty decent pinch and zoom feature in the browser

  • Droid just came out and its going on Top , i wonder how many great stuff they will make for feature for this phone :D

  • Its just for photos. Get the Dolphin broswer app. It lets you pinch and zoom internet pages. And its FREE!!!!

  • Great app.

  • haah its official MOTOROLA DROID IS BETTER THAN IPHONE!!

  • HELL YEAH!!!!!

  • lol i know rite!!

  • i have one woudl disagree onscreen keyboard sucks plus its pretty buggy, when they release multitouch for native apps and update with bug fixes i'll be alot happeir

  • best part about the on screen keyboard... there's an app for that if you don't like it!

  • When you download Picsay does it only work for pictures or does it allow for multi touch functions on everything?

  • just pictures...

  • Queens ftw.

  • the beauty of an OPEN-SOURCE system....yeahh babayy...freedom to custom ur device as mcuh as u want, just like ona normal PC...F*** apple...lol

  • The suspected reason, I'm not sure if it had proof or not, but I saw (I believe on engadget, phandroid, one site closely following Android phones/the Droid specifically) an article saying that the reason it didn't support it out-of-the-box was something to do with patenting. I believe it said that one of Apple's patents was the whole pinch-and-zoom idea. Don't quote me on this though, I'm not 100% sure.

  • Do you know how Palm go around this. I mean at this point the phone can do it I wonder if they are waiting for some sort of agreement between the two companies or to see if they can enable it without being sued

  • Palm got around it because Apple has infringed on several of Palms patents, just like Palm infringed on Apple's patent of pinch zooming.

  • Dont get me wrong the phone is great. I dont think it has response problems at all . you have to also remember that Motorola built the hardware not the software. I agree moto has been making some crappy phones but this is def not one of them . this is the huge what verizon needed to really stay as the number 1 cell provider in the US

  • OK APPLE FANBOY!!! Your a effing douche bag! There is nothing wrong with any of the things you listed and its a great phone.... Why dont you go buy that new app on your iPhone that turns it into a vibrator and then stick it up your A**!!

  • wow that made me LOL!

  • Bhahaa!!! Classic.

  • Ahaha, irony at its finest.

Apple products are complete junk. Come back in another 8 months and tell me if your iphone still works. I bet its battery doesn't keep charge for more than an hour and you'll have to pay apple $200 to replace it.

  • Good for you, other people haven't been as lucky.

  • @denmapl ooo i hope you knew this stupid comment would come back to haunt you... because.... 2.1 is on the droid :D and guess what! the droid dose have pinch to zoom :D oh also the 2.0 update resolved the camera problems... sorry idork... but your device is subpar with the droid. one more thing, android is getting flash and im sorry to say you never will... sorry!

  • lol you said Picsay is in the app store... you mean Android Market... ;)

  • app store , Marketplace , Store .. same thing lol haha

  • "I have no idea why it doesn't have it out the box but interesting to see 3rd parties supporting it"

Motorola were probably concerned about a lawsuit from Apple.

  • I wonder if they will add it with a update

  • good job andrew

  • I think this is a huge leap for smartphones. I love the Iphone also but the more great phones we have the better it is for us as the consumer

  • mken and your Iphone looks very dated compared to the droid as well...

  • @mken23 Yes, and the Droid just came out.

  • As of right now thats the only app that i know of that uses the pinch and zoom. None of the Applications that come with the phone use it

  • hopefully someone will make a browser that uses it and put it on the android market for free

  • @digitup1100 I'm sure someone will. Yay for open source.

  • How about pinch/zoom for web browsing? That's really the most useful application of the pinch/zoom

  • Love the Droid
