wow guys, so many brilliant idea's were originally thought stupid. For example everyone the the lightbulb was stupid when Thomas Edison was first trying to make it.
Befor commenting on this video think about how many times you turn on a light.
Stupid is as stupid does, and this advert is really fucking stupid. Thank you Diesel for making stupid, time-wasting people easily identifiable. When I see someone donning your apparel, I now know to keep a distance of at least 10 meters. Maybe you should endorse the Tea Party movement that is currently polluting the minds of millions of people in my homeland, because like you Diesel, the Tea Party Movement is one of the stupidest fucking things I've ever encountered.
I'm wondering, does Diesel's 'stupid' mean uninhibited, audacious and creative (all broadly positive impulses, we're agreed?) or is it endorsing the hokey, and irrational, the hidebound, and willfully ignorant? If it's the latter it seems a rallying cry for bullying jocks, irrational fundamentalists, airhead heiresses and deluded simpletons the world over who feel frustrated and disenfranchised by the exertion necessary in opening a book, articulating an idea, or having a worldview challenged.
It's a provocative, empowering brand (or bland) statement. As manifestos go, it does little but add extra vacuity to 'Just Do It'. But it helpfully crystalizes all of Diesel's sophomor(on)ic, muddled, ugly, witless, nihilistic branding to date.
smart people are the reason why the world we live in exists... they are the reason why progress, inventions, events ecc have taken place in history. They are why we live in a modern world.
being stupid sucks. I pity the inventor of this new ad for diesel. You have definitely convinced me not to buy anything made by diesel EVER and I swear EVER
..take it easy man..it's only and ad..it HAS to be provocative..that's because you will always remember diesel and talk about diesel for that..sooooooo: touché!!!!!!!!!! :-D
I like this almost as much as the old spice guy.
