I think the reason why we weren't satisfied with the ending in fma, when you think about it, is because we became so attached to the characters and plot without even knowing it. When we saw that suddenly, everything was solved and everyone went on with their lives, we had that sour taste in our mouths. Deep down, we wanted to see more, we wanted to know about the adventures of the characters currently. And I think that proves how great of a series it was

It for me lacked drama, the seriousness and the emotional involvement of the original first series. Agreed on Bleach, Bleach got unitresting after the soul society arc. Hontesly Bleach is one of the bad anime out there that started out good then turned out bad. Also you want to be a movie director thats good as long as you don't go into the direction of the last air bender and dragon ball evolution you should do good.

A similar thing happened to me with Bleach... I pushed myself through a good chunk of the anime, but in the end I gave up. It has some charismatic characters and the plot is actually alright when it's there, but the fights are boring as hell. And there's a lot of them.

It took a while for me to get into Bleach, but now its my favorite. What I did is that I just jumped into the Rescue Arc and there was so much action and story going on that I just had to find out what was going on, so I started from the beginning (reading the manga) and the further you get with Bleach, the more theatrical it is!
