  • Mirror - no one behind

Signal - still need to signal before reaching the junction, for those who may or may not be on the main road.

    Position - speed - look - assess - decide - act

  • I love how he pronounces 'mirror'- merrr. Irish accent, awesome.

  • "No-one behind, no-one to signal to"... but what about people that may be approaching from your right, who you might want to know where you intend going (you couldn't see them 'til you got to the junction)? So you would then put the signal on late??? To make it simple, why not just signal unless you can see for certain that you DON'T need to?

  • "Non-overlapping" of brakes and gears is for people who can't heel & toe.

  • It's good but the information is offered too late. You need to be swifter in your consideration of potential problems and dismiss the ones that no longer matter. Spit it out, verbally is my advice.

Also, don't start right's too late - steering back into the road is not ideal.

That said - it's bloody good to see someone making an effort to really improve road safety.

Thanks, and bloody well done mate

  • interesting.

  • I reckon you could have gone at that first roundabout :-)

  • Road craft is great! good post

  • Glad you like it!

  • Glad you mentioned rev matching, it is very sensible especially if shifting down on the approach to a corner or mid corner as it helps keep the car more balanced with no deceleration when the clutch is engaged to cause weight transfer.
