The interviewer is`nt a prick. People seem to forget the motto of that show. It `s called "HARD TALK". Anyone who goes there should know, that the interviewer is not going have a cuddly chat about the weather.
I can't argue that JA has a corrupt government that the British passively helped to set up and it was pushed by America when JA began leaning towards socialism in the 70s. God help JA it has not seen one day in the sun. The British set it up for failure by helping to form a government that showed patronage to Britain not the JA people.
Jamaica is a beautiful place, with wonderful, strong people. I made good friends with many who camt to US to work on temp visas. They deal with a lot, food shortages, gas hikes, governmental opression. Golding is a lying snake. he chooses to ignore facts because "thats not the way he remembers the figures" The government keeps the people in check. Golding is a homophobic piece of S#$% who then lies about it on TV to make himself look better for other countries. look at him 4 what he is
Also the police need to stop drinking that "JUNGLE JUICE" that turn them into a werewolf, they were given this substance in the academy at Port Royal.
he addressed all the points posed by the interviewer w/o digressing from the points. No disrespect to Mrs Simpson-Miller but i do not think she would have done well in this interview
Wow Bruce is the real deal. Someone who can understand and deal with jamaicas problems has no problems dealing with a mere journalist, no matter how skillful he is. It would indeed be humouous to see portia simpson, or pj patterson crumble under such an interveiw. Also funny is the fact that bruce has to go all the way to england to do a substantive interveiw.
i dont care if it sounds racist, racial or ignorant. I have been on this planet for far too long and i have noticed that everyone who says "dont turn this into a black and white thing" is just dodging the REAL TRUTH. and if YOU (Mwaterfall) dont know the real truth then dont ask or say things that make it seem that racism is not and was never a problem that all black people had to face at some point in their lives.
BRUCE GOLDING REPRESENTS CHANGE, Like it or not change is coming to jamaica... He has only been in power for eight months give the guy a chance.........
1st OF ALL I AM NOT PNP OR JLP. I AT POINT ACTUALLY LIKED BRUCE OR RATHER JUST PREFFERED ANYBODY TO RUN THI COUNTRY EXCEPT( DESCRIPTION OF PORTIA, I THINK IS BEST CONTAINED), BUT NOW AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO WANTS 2 WACK HIM. BRUCE U HAVE DISSAPPOINTED ME TO THE MAX, U R JUST ANOTHER FALSE PROMISE MAKIN (>$%.@) LIKE MOST OTHER POLITICIANS IN JAMAICA....U SHOULD HAVE STUCK WITH THE NDM,IDONT KNW I BELIEVED IN SUM1 WHO ALREADY PROVED HIMSELF TO BE A WEAKLING.I HOPE THAT U WILL READ THIS
Do not spout accusations without substantiating. I think you should watch the interview over and over again untill you are able to decipher the logic.I can safely say at this point in time the interest of the Jamaican people for the first time in 18 years is well represented.
Yes, Bruce, tell him! It's so easy to name all the ills of the country, but the interviewer could not afford to point out the good changes that have been implemented.

And ratings to PM Golding for his well informed, timely and comprehensive responses.
In all honesty, the interviewer is asking the tough questions that are generally centered around the bad, hence the name "Hard Talk"

I hate pretense. it is a shame when people would rather pretend not to know the truth and deal with it than being honest and upfront.

Your usage of language "white man" sounds RACIAL. Please don't make this into a black and white thing
Stick with the issues: IS JAMAICAN POLITICAL SYSTEM CURRUPTED???

Not ONCE did this reporter ask how is the food situation affecting Jamaica. Not ONCE did he ask how the price increase on fuel in affecting Jamaica.
I can tell this reporter's job is to paint a very negative picture of Jamaica.
I am glad that Mr Golding held his ground to this very negative reporter. This reporter should work with Foxnews.

I think you miss the point of HARDtalk - bulldog attack to see how the victim handles PRESSURE.
But the Spanish hoteliers' pullout and Security "sacking" didn't seem to have been properly researched.
And Golding doesn't yet have a record to attack or defend. A HARDtalk interview would be more appropriate 2 years into the term.
ilalfisto 3 years ago
And after 8 years of Bubba Bush, it's a good lesson for Americans, in this election year, to see how an INTELLIGENT Head of State handles himself.

The job is not to DESTROY Golding, but to REVEAL who he is, and how well or badly he's doing his job?
It's a TEST, not a CONtest, and I say he passed.
A+.
ilalfisto 3 years ago
The true test will be how well he turns around the current state of affairs. I don't really care about an interview with some British guy.
