@gloinstrong I have heard of more than one actually. I have read the bible many times actually, predictions can be wrong, misinterpreted, or staged.

I'm guessing that the witnesses of Jesus (assuming they actually existed as anything can be written in a book and taken to be true 2000+ years later) died in the arenas because they legitimately believed in the teachings of Jesus, for their beliefs.

Noone would go around not denying Jesus and dying for that reason, unless they have a very good reason. People today die because they have faith that they are correct. The disciples didn't have just faith, they saw him. And if they hid his body, or some other idiotic theory, they wouldn't have died for him.

Last night, I stood through an hour of unseasonal, terrential rain to hear Switchfoot play live, at Easterfest in Toowoomba. They were amazing and no matter how cold I was and how soaked I was never dampened my spirits. Knowing, that only 3 months before the same level of rain that caused flash flooding in Toowoomba and surrounding areas, witch also took the lives of 20 people made the christian band so much more inspirational... I LOVE YOU SWITCHFOOT.
