Yes the energy is great and the band sounds tighter here than in the studio or in the basement. I think the "Down Is The New Up" also sounded way better on this tour than in the studio. Wish i had been there.
This is, IMO(magic word right there), the best rendition of Bangers N Mash. Every live version and the album version itself that came after this, doesn't capture the energy and the vocals of this night at Copenhagen.
It sounds like a different song altogether, it sounds like it's on fire!
I agree! This version sounds distant, chaotic, and extremely hypnotic. It sounded like it came from the same league as "Trans-Atlantic Drawl" and the older version of "Up on the Ladder." I like this version more. It's slightly darker.
this mini tour was AMAZING. they debut down is the new up during the tour, the night i went. amazing. and yes, this song was a version that they had and played for the whole tour, its sad that they decided to complicate the rythyms, the only bad choice radiohead ever made musically imo. just an opinion people...i too worship radiohead.

thom didn't need to start on drums, very pointless. some percussion (i.e. bass drums and congas) would've worked well, but another kit is just pretentious. excellent song though.
Gives me an adrenaline rush every time i hear it. Best version i've heard of this song for sure. Radiohead exploring new musical territory again and they have certainly been successful. If they can perform the song like this when they tour in 07' and it sounds something like this on the new album i will be a happy man.

I like how thom alternates which leg he brings up. It makes him look like he's doing some kind of dance.

Thom on drums, who would've though.
This is probablly the most "outgoing" song Radiohead has ever put out, for better or for worse (depends).
I think I like it.
