Phil Bennett drove the black & gold SR3 turbo at the nurburgring . he now drives for ADR instead .

500kg 1.5 fuel injected suzuki block (no turbo) with 252 bhp unless it is modified. The newer sr8 has the fastest road legal car time on the ring (@6.55), and i think it was in the lower model (2.6l 363bhp 600kgs!). The race version which i think is also road legal has 455bhp lol.

I think he be faster with a paddleshift setup, you can see how he hesitates on shifting due to the road condition. I bet a softer suspension setup that matches the Nurburg would do even better.

But that was a very nice video. The driver had driven this little thing very hard! Nice to see the few drifts, when he have to steer left in a "right corner"

Sorry, it is the Porsche 956. The Radical SR8 has the fastest lap time for street cars. Radicals are legal on the roads. Crazy world ^^
