  • Very interesting video. I've just recently read the book Hula Moons and I recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning more about 20th Century Hawaiian culture pre- Pearl Harbor.

  • I would read Don Blanding while listening to Martin Denny.

  • Things were being filmed in color in the early 1920's. But color films did not completely take over really until the 1970's.

  • Don Blanding sounds like Orson Wells.

  • I didn't know anything was being filmed in color in the mid-30's.

  • What IS this Clip from? I want to see More of Don Blanding! Please post the complete version of this!

  • How wonderful is this clip!

I have several personally autographed copies of his books that were given to my mother in the 30's, so I am familiar with his works.

I have seen his picture, but this was special to me because I still enjoy his Island poetry.

  • Have You read "Vagabond's house"? In the 20's Thirties & fourties, All Sophistocated Romantic Martini sippers knew of the Writeings of Don Blanding.
