I think most of the Mac crash sounds are hilarious-sounding. When a Windows computer crashes, it gives you a scary bluescreen. When a Mac crashes, it gives you harp chimes, a car crashing noise, or "DUN DUN DUUUUUNNNNN!" I think Apple's got the right idea - if your system has to crash, it might as well make amusing sounds when it does.

Once back when I was 6, on my parents' 1994 Macintosh Performa 638CD, I once pressed  and the power button, it showed the Sad Mac and I heard the Chimes of Death; I asked myself, "That sounds different. What's going on?" My dad told me that the Sad Mac meant that it was sleepy or sick, but nope! When I was 10, I found out a few years later that it's really dead or has a fatal error. (I have no idea why they call it Sad Mac.) So then I pressed  and power again and then it turned happy
