I agree with sweetcrazycat that if the fight had continued Overeem's chance on overcoming the situation was very slim...but not impossible as we have seen Hari himself in the past KO Karaev directly after himself taking a heavy knockdown. Its not like Overeem wold have been killed...he's a big dude and could have taken some more strikes. Continueing the fight defenately would have made the tournament more spectacular as we all know everyone wants to see action and heavy knock outs.

But this was a K1 fight, and Overeem is not a sore loser, he knew what he stepped in to and although he doesnt agree withe the referee's decision to stop the fight...he accepts the loss and says he wants to do more K1 fights.
