Hi I was wondering how did you put in your divider??? Because mines will not go in correctly like yours...mines is too bendy and cant get it to be straight
@TheStevo964 my guppy gave birth while I'm school but all the babies are alive bcoz I put the female in a jar then wen I got home at lunch time the female was finished giving birth and I just separated them
I have a 10 gallon tank with male and female guppies in. the best bet in saving the fry is getting alot of REAL plants and a breeder net to keep the fry in and a breeder box to have the female deliver the fry in, I don't usualy use my box because my guppies give birth either if Im at school or at night, i just catch the fry and keep them safe in my breeder net.
@ilovesquinkies82 They're like 20 cents at the pet store.. Don't get too excited, haha.
I'd recommend you stay away from that carnival game. Goldfish are suppperrrr messy and need HUGE tanks.. Especially the ones that are usually given as prizes [ commons/comets ]. Get a few female guppies instead!
hate to say it but ur tank is kind of booring and you need to add some more plants and stuff so they are less stressed it will really help em out if you do that
ok i got baby food and thats crushed flakes to im guite a good guppy breeder my self but im always trying to find ways to make them grow even faster people say in the first 2 weeks its no problem feeding them 4 times a day
yeah, their are many many good ways out their, you just got to fined the one best for you, i fee mine a good bit each time, because i got so many, so thats why i feed them 2 times a day, or more IF they are eating it up fast.
I have Danio's with my Betta and they seem to chase him if he enter the place where the female scatters her eggs(Did'nt know Danio's were so protective)
its a10 gallon divider net that i just cut out a spot for the blue pipe to go in. i got it at petsmart its a divider for a 10 gallon and they make them for others ones too
my guppies have been living with me for a long time now there are about 50 of them in my 10 gallon tank, if all of a sudden i throw a betta in there they kind of attack and chase it ... i dont know do i have agressive guppies??
Bettas are not good with other fish like guppys. Bettas should realy be alone. But i dont know why guppys would fight a bettas it might just be thats they thank he will take there food or his size might make the guppys feel like they should attack. If i was you i would get a bigger tank for your guppys and then put the betta in a small fish tank like 5 gallons or more
really any apple snails is good, and they hardly do damage to your vegetation, unless you get there favorit snack. But besides that, Great set up! What about your bettas, how are they doing?
and right now i am not breeding bettas, i breed them over the summer when i dont have school and i have alot of time to care for them. i got 10 right now they are my best breeders as of last summer! but i am going to breed them this summer!!
i breed bettas and i would definitly recommend some "apple"(mystery) snails. Personally in my breeder tanks i use the "golden apple" snails. for that size tank 2 snails is plenty, one on each side, and the great thing about the snails is there waste produce microbes in the tanks that become extra supply of foods for your fry!!!!!
cool video i just have my 5 fry in a little net type thing. Is about the size of a breeder box they are about 5 weeks old. I cant get another tank but i will jsut let them go in the community tank when they are 2-3months old

@ilovesquinkies82 Then prepare for some early deaths, my friend.
Poor goldfish.. Never had a chance.
It's sad that this will continually be the case.
People are so ignorant.

do i need to sepereate the female from the fry when they are born or the male?
hotpinkcrayon99 2 years ago
With guppies you need to remove both the male and female, because they will eat the fry
