@kellyydonegan98 Could be the bronzer isn't the right tone for you skin tone. I get the same thing I have to use a neutral bronzer rather than a warmer bronzer. Not sure if I'm exactly right but its definitely worked for me. :]

@kellyydonegan98 What kellyydonegan98 said is good advice, also try to avoid a shimmery bronzer. If you are applying a bronzer, it might help to powder your face first so that it glides a little easier rather than sticking to your foundation. Alternatively, try working it with your fingers a little afterwards. Hope this helps.

I was told the secret of makeup application is all in the brushes; you negate that principle by not including that aspect in your video(which brush for each application). Perhaps you have a video just on which brush you use for which contour; but it is doubtful, since this is the video on contouring. Therefore someone is wrong. Is it the placement or is it the brush that is most important?

@2012UC I'm no make up artist, but I would think it's the placement that matters most, because obviously if you apply it on the wrong spot it would just look ridiculous. I'm sure brushes matter as well, but it's not the brushes that make the artist while painting a portrait, so I would think it's similiar here as well.

@MyeongHi I think you are right on. It is so difficult I am finding out. Each person places the makeup differently, and uses different brushes. So now I am even more confused than before I started watching these videos. I think the placement might be most important, but that is what seems to vary the most in the videos I watch.

@jmpvfb007 the 165 was limited edition. sigma has a similar brush (F35), and sam's own blusher brush (real techniques) is similarly shaped as well (though i think it's a little closer to the 138 than the 165).

I know your basic rule.. if i want something to sink use a darker color.. but what if I want my cheeks to appear smaller? just put a darker color? somehow I don't think it would work.. YEs .. I just bought the 165 its amazing! almost sold out i'm so glad i got one before they were all gone. I use harmony blusher to do this and it works well for my NC25 ish skin. great tutorial !

the 138 is the same shape but it's MUCH bigger than the 165. you could try it, but it might be too big for your face or to contour small areas (like the nose).

I'm red-haired and light skin with freckles and red spots. I find it hard to cover this. Have tried all foundations and concealer. Right now, I have chanel but the result is "caky" The only thing that works is the mineral foundation but they do not provide the same coverage as a liquid foundation. How would you disguise one freckled with redness?
