@ethan277 Yup! And that was on purpose! Both games were made by Capcom. This game came out before the game Killer7 came out so they put a gun called Killer7 in RE4 as kind of like an advertisement lol.
@SniperJohn93 If you have the Handcannon in your inventory, ammunition for the Handcannon will be randomly dropped. I grab it because each round is worth 600 pesetas.
@yuch1102 I was reaching over to the camera to try and refocus it, so I was going one-handed. My ring finger was on the right shoulder buttons, my thumb operated the left analog stick with my pinky hitting the face buttons and my index on the left shoulders.
I agree, revolvers are more aesthetically pleasing... and I personally prefer them. However, this gun is so unfortunately underused and underrated that it is instantly cool.
@alwaysyanwar The Handcannon is cool, but it sort of breaks the game. Even on pro, with an unupgraded Handcannon the game becomes really easy. It's so fun to play with though.
I found fully upgrade butterfly take about 5-6shots to kill chainsaw dude but fully upgrade handcannon only one shot. So I guess handcannon has not only 99.9 damage but cant display more
@QQ20034 I've found that the damage indicators are not completely accurate because the damage you do scales depending on what chapter you are on. Early on, a 6.0 damage shotgun takes as many hits to kill a mini-boss as a 50.0 damage Butterfly.
@Stratocaster05 i know the damage type is similar to re5, early stage introduce weaker enemy, where later stronger. the damage type is multiply around 1, also depend on difficulties . but handcannon must has more than 99.9 damage to kill chainsaw dude in one shot.
The way the damage works is exponential (or rather, reverse exponential). For example, a 1 damage pistol will not take away 1 hp from the enemy all the time. It does in the first few stages but later on it does far less than 1 hp. Later weapons are scaled so that when you acquire them, they do that level of damage to enemies at that stage. Because the Handcannon is considered a "starting weapon" i.e. you can buy it once you unlock it, it does more than 99.9 to an enemy at the beginning.
@QQ20034 Personally I don't have one, but the Resident Evil Wiki has full charts for all upgrades on the weapons. They aren't in one chart, but the individual pages have the information.
@SuperDUDERIKI The Killer7 appears really late in the game. It doesn't show up in the stores until the chapter after you beat Salazar. That's probably why not many people use it; by that time they've either found or bought the Broken Butterfly and upgraded it. If you haven't bought a magnum yet, however, I highly recommend the Killer7.
@Stratocaster05 Well, maybe the Thompson. Because it is a really cool weapon, awesome stats. Besides, when Leon has his Mafioso outfit he does cool actions too.
But you could also do a shotgun, maybe the Riot Gun (it is the only shotgun to have a small "backstory", since it's the weapon Richard used)...
But as long as you do another review, it doesn't matter which weapon you do ^^
@darknessdeathsycth It's only infinite ammo after you fully upgrade it, therefore before it's fully upgraded you need ammo. As long as it's in your inventory enemies will still drop ammunition even after you fully upgrade it.
ok thanks, but i have one more question. when i beat the game in professional, and i unlock the p.r.l 412 is there a way i could save that to my normal (cleared game) save game and keep it forever. or wouldn't it work
Ok: So, in your save screen, with your cleared normal difficulty game, if you load that then you'll have all your stuff but you'll be in Normal mode. If you start a new game in Professional, then you won't have any of your old stuff but you'll still have it on your normal mode. Make multiple saves. There is no way to increase or decrease the difficulty while still maintaining your old equipment; it would make the game too easy.
hey man, if ive finished the game on easy mode and im almost done with normal mode, when i have completed normal mode and i start a new game will i have all my old weapons and ptas still there when i start my new game? i kno i gotta start a new game in the 'cleared' load thing. cause i really want the Chicago n all them other crazy guns. pleasee respond to this, thanks matee
@masivebored Well, the short answer is no. When you start a new game in "Cleared" you start off in easy mode, assuming that's what you were playing in. It's to stop you from easily clearing the easy mode and then switching to pro with your powered up weapons. To change difficulty you have to start a new game - no special weapons, no upgrades, just the handgun and a first aid spray.
I've played through the main story about 20 times. Most of the time I was using infinite weapons only. I can get through the game w/ infinites in about two and a half hours. Selling everything I come across and not buying anything nets you over a million pesetas per playthrough. Some playthroughs I do handgun only, bolt-action only, etc. and that nets me less cash because I rebuy the infinites after.
I've played through the game about 20 times, and half of those were using infinite weapons; I.E. I didn't have to buy any upgrades or guns along the way. Without buying anything, and selling all the guns, picking up all cash, and selling ammo, you can earn around 1,200,000 pesetas in a playthrough.
I believe you're referring to how I have the gun against Verdugo. I have played through the game over 50 times. You can use all the guns on your next playthroughs, even buy the guns from the merchants.
to me it looks like a 45. longslide

Hahahha this gun is a in-joke from Capcom since both games are from Capcom. And actually it a nice joke and they did well with the gun in RE4.
PS: Nice video and review.

The killer 7 actually looks eerily similar to the gun used by kaede smith in the game killer7. I found rather interesting :)

@cowmilk9999 And what a good game it was! It's too bad everyone has forgotten about Killer7. It was unique, and no one has done a game like it since.

Both regular mags are awesome. Buuuuuuut i'll go with Broken Butterfly. :)

I think revolvers look sweet so if I had to choose a magnum that isn't the Handcannon, my pick would be the Broken Butterfly.

Killer 7= Better aiming and higher capacity
Broken Butterfly= Higher Firepower and cooler reload
who wins your choice

@Stratocaster05 Yeah, i know it, but the best .45 magnum pistol is Handcannon, because if u upgrade it to exclusive, it will be infinite.

Yeah, it owns. It's best for boss-killing and unloading a crapload of ammo on one target. I've used it with mild success against Verdugo.
