This track is a mix of some characters themes. With Charlie dying, this is the only scene I drop some tears, the most moving series ever made! I've got Lost Blues!
"Moving on", that is not for Jack, but for all fans, it's a way to say "There is no perfect ending of LOST, so we don't end it, so that we don't make a shitty end, but you have to move on"
The majority of people who like this song is primarily because of how they know when this was played. At first with the death of characters such as Jin and Sun not leaving each other when they were in the flooded submarine even though it meant death. And Jack doing what he had to do to save the island and died for that cause to everybody having the life without the island and not each other and then remembering the good times they had with each other and moving on with the loves of their lives.
6:15 and on reminds me of a song played during the end of the videogame Morrowind. It's fun to see how all epic soundtracks seem to have these common elements in them. Anyway, this song delivers.
@doRseries1 ...YOu want to let go...let go. But please dont tell others to do so if they chose not to. I plan on never letting go of LOST. See you in another life brotha..
Does anyone find themselves listening to this tune and other lost soundtrack tunes repeatedly or is it just me? Giacchino is a genius and this music is among the most moving and emotive that I have ever heard, it makes me miss the show and the characters and feel incredibly sad that it is over and never coming back, but also makes me realise just what an incredible story it was and how it will only ever remain that way if it is untouched. I think it's true nostalgia, anyone agree?
@TheUnknownGeezer this song is what we can hear in the church scene where jack returns with his friends after talk with his father? then, i´m with you... the mix (song + scene) is very emotive. It make me cry too
i cried no joke when i saw this ending its so sad when jack finds out he's been dead the whole time. Actually from after it comes out to the bit where kate and jack are in the car outside the church, its all sad onwards. Its all like one final goodbye and they are ready to go to wherever they need to go together as one big family.
There is so much emotion involved, especially the part around 7:00. I think that was when I cried the most, when it played at the end of the show. Great music!
4.58 is awesome. The music makes up so much Lost. It's so moving and poignant. The character themes are amazing. Been a huge fan of Gianchinno since he worked on Alias.

It is all to often rare, for music to take ones breath away...leaving you quite unable to speak...only to feel the emotions that it brings.

This always makes me think about the people whom I couldn't move on without and how they might not be the people I would expect.

Great song. I don't really like how they don't include the music that played when Jack touches the coffin and remembers.
