I have a dumbo rex rat. He's supposed to this size. But I highly doubt that Lol. These kind of rats look different than the regular rats. Should they be called rats at all? To me, they look like a different type of animal.

isn't it the emins that have the white belly, and the gambian that are all one colour? I could be mistaken

he looks like a gambian. emin's have a longer snout than that and are brown instead of grey in color. There's a clear line where the color changes on an emin's rat's belly, while the gambian it gradually gets lighter, but it's still rather the same color. I'd say he's a cute gambian!

How much does he weigh?

I have no idea. I weighed him before and then he weighed 2 kg, but a couple of days later he suddenly weighed 1.5 kg. It's a bit hard to weigh him beacuse I have to hold him and weigh myself, he's to heavy for my kitchenscale...

He is certainly very cute. I read they weight up to and even beyond two kg so tht sounds reasonable. It's big rat no? :)
