I uploaded this in 2006 when YT was pretty much dead and it had some awesome war footages I collected, bastards made me remove it. If the quality isnt HD they shoudnt be allowed to remove it in my opinion.
I heard this song the first time when I was 19 or so. Loved the entire album, but on this song about 2:40 me and my friends used to joke Coverdale was singing "I'm a gaywad" or "I'm a gang lord".
Obviously, he's singing "Armageddon road", but...it was funny at the time.
Thank you so much for sharing this! I agree that this whole album is very underrated. Over Now & Easy Does It are my favorites, but this song kicks ass too! Jimmy Page is one of the best guitar players of all time. Hey Slagnr, I would love to hear anything about working this tour, or see any video you might have. Please keep me posted.
@reddgrapes1 I disagree man, no drummer I've ever listened to matched Bonham's thunderness. Please understand I'm not saying Denny isn't good, his drumming fits the album perfectly, but he just doesn't have the power that Jonh Bonham had.
This song and this album is so cool...loved it when it came out and still do........the fact that Saccarine didn't make this album is a damn shame...Peace fellow Rockers!!!
what sucks is that the tour was cut short.....would've loved to have seen them......wonder what's next for Pagey? Time is moving on & he is not getting any younger......Id love to see him one more time........not gonna hold my breath for a "Zep reunion" , thats for sure.....I bet he isn't either
@hazor777 Was just browsing through this. I was one of the backline techs. on the Japan tour, as well as working on the record in Vancouver and Miami, and I've got a lot of video that I shot......live, soundcheck, and rehearsals.
When I get time to transfer from V8, I'll post some of it.
It's so Good to see so many that love this Awesome Album. I remember seeing a bunch of Return Used Copies in Wherehouse Music back in 1993. I went ahead and bought my copy anyway. Great job on my part because I still Love it.
Best song on the cd. The only one you could really compare to Led Zeppelin. The lyrics to all the other ones just sound like typical Coverdale....."my hard dick, and broken heart"
Ya know what funny about this album? Is that I play it now for friends who consider themself music afficianados and their blown away by it. They always ask me "how could I of missed this album its so fokkin good song for song...If you look back at that time this, like many great ROCK albums were ignored by rock radio. Yes there were 2 songs on this album that got radio play. But it didn't get the credit it desrved only because they were too busy trying to shuv Nirvanna and Grundge up our azz..
No dis to plant....He's the best ever. But at a close #2 It's nice to see what Coverdale can do with the first team. I've been a fan for ...well way too long. I loved when this came out. As I said....LED ZEP was the benchmark. But...I remember hearing rumors... and waiting to hear coverdale / page
Back when there was a thing called music. Love it Cant find anything like this anymore eveything is awful. No true talent anymore Thanks for the awesome post.
I remember the first time I heard System Of A Down's "Aerials"... this song came to my mind. Coverdale/Page... 2 giants of rock. What a fantastic combo. Thanks for posting this song. Tremendous memories of when music still rocked and was cool. Now all the rock music has muddy-sounding guitars and people just screaming instead of singing. It's as if the singers of karaoke have taken over just as reality tv has taken over. Where has all the talent gone? No more imagination... just a lot of crap.
@ultragoji1 Amen man. cant agree more. It's no accident everyone has a Nickelback sound. Its all formulated by the record industry..like regurgitated pig slop! It's also the reason few bands play solos or have an original sound. The record industry tell them what to play and how to sound. Guitarists back years ago would lock themself away in a room and just practice till their fingers bled. There are some great new bands out there but overall It seems more choose to take a shortcut .. pitiful
Slagnr...I have to agree...everyone can say what they want about the Coverdale and Plant thing, BUT.....you have to admit this is one of THEE BEST albums ever recorded!!!! My hat's off to these gentleman.....good job guys....now...DO IT AGAIN!!!!......WE WANT MORE DAMMIT!!!!
Slagnr: i wonder if i might ask a favor. if you have the album of with this song, would you mind looking at the song credits, and tell me if Brian Johnson of AC/DC is a guest vocalist for the track. it just sounds a lot like Johnson for the "Armageddon Road" portion of the song.

Kind of sounds like Grunge in parts of it. Also, I think Collective Soul lifted one of the riffs in this too. lol
