Having several "Bibles" helps. The New Jerusalem is great, but even "protestant" translations are faithful translations. Using many translations helps bring out the fuller meaning. I like the NIV translation, a sincere translation, although it leaves out the "deuteronomical books". The Catholic interpretation avoids misunderstanding. The Jehovah Witness Bible "In the begining was the Word...and the Word was "a god". i.e. Christ was only a creature! No Trinity or Incarnation = Heresy!
The mark of the beast is a heretical baptism (forehead) caused by the Masonic Vatican after 1944, or a Masonic handshake (right hand). Trent and Acts 19: if anyone says that John's baptism (Holy Spirit/Spiritus Sanctus) has the force of Christ's baptism (Holy Ghost/Spiritum Sanctum), let him be anathema. The name switch causes a change in the character of that soul. This Sacramental character is the secret of the priesthood and is why Masonry had to destroy the Rite. FATIMAMOVEMENT d o t c o m
I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I have the exact same Bible and the exact same Catechism. Unlike you, I've grown up in a decidedly pious Catholic home, but it has only been recently I myself have explored it more seriously. Each day I grow more infatuated with it. I'd love to have a dialogue with you anytime.
I really don't care for the NAB. :( I don't like the notes in there, not good at all.
I also don't like the New Jerusalem Bible. I don't like the New Revised Standard Version either. Inclusive language.
I prefer the 1966 Jerusalem Bible & the Revised Standard Version-Second Catholic Edition and also the RSV-CE. The best one I like though is the Douay-Rheims Bible. I have the one with the Latin Vulgate side by side, that's the BEST!! I love it!
Det 4:2, Det 12:32, Rev 22:18-19., they all basically state do not add to the word or take away from it. I am trying to understand where the 7 sacraments are in the scriptures???
Not a problem I would be happy to help you with that there are so many places in scripture to fins the Sacraments. I will list a few because of space, for more feel free to message me with further questions.
Baptism:
John 1:32; John 3:3,5; John 3:22: Acts 22:16: Matt. 28:19-20
Hope this helps, send me a message if you need any clarification or more detail, these are just a few verses where there are examples of the Sacraments in scripture, it is difficult to go into depth about all the Sacraments in the limited comment space.
@ShepherdsPath I wonder if protestants know that they removed some chapters from the bible, because they simply chose not to believe it. So they TOOK away.
The best....your very inspiring! Then I should better know the Catholic Faith more. Lets include in our prayers..the conversion of unbelievers as well as the church as a whole especially the santo padre!
Let me know when you get on the subject of the Eucharist. I'm currently working on an extended video project about the Real Presence, proving from Scripture and from Tradition that Christ is really, truly, and substantially present in the Blessed Sacrament. Perhaps we could team up.
God bless you and keep you. See you in the Eucharist,

Thank I am glad you enjoyed it.
NJB is really great...it is one of the best Bible (in my opinion) to study with.
God Bless
