  • Excellent

  • I am in Orlando, waiting for the shuttle Atlantis to blast off just a few miles east of me.

I am listening to Glenn Miller playing Moon over Miami, from the 1940's. I am 89 years old and am so happy to have lived long enough to watch our Space endeavors.

i flew back in WWII and when I started flight training we did not even have radios in the aircraft. What a wonderful country we have...God Bless America..Buzzard577

  • I hope Heaven has a Big Band dance hall

  • @nikkiaah It wouldn't be heaven if it didn't, you better believe it.

  • i'm 26, and i so wish i could fall in love to this song. they just don't make falling-in-love like they used to. :-)

  • WE Will Never See those days! When we could go out

& Dance to all the Wonderful music The Big Bands Played.

Our generation was fortunate to grown up When Music was Music!!!!

  • Not the music teenagers listen to...except for ME!

  • I'm 83 and actually was at GM performances (e.g., Proctor's Theatre, Schenectady, NY). I've heard LIVE the "something old, something new" intro spoken by Glenn Miller on this video.

Ah, for those days of live performances of

America's great, beautifully melodic, classical standards! BTW, show would be interrupted for 7:00 p.m. network radio broadcast of Chesterfield Supper Club with Miller Orchestra. Two shows for the price of one! Those were the days!

  • YOU ARE SO LUCKY TO REMEMBER THOSE DAYS. i AM 45 BUT REALLY FEEL THAT I AM FROM THOSE TIMES AS I RELATE TO THE VALUES & STANDARDS OF THOSE DAYS. PEOPLE JUST DON`T HAVE MANY STANDARDS & MANNERS THESE DAYS!!!

  • @Chloe1997bennett

yeah, manners like using capslock and stuff... anyway, great song.

  • @busbyii Great Music from Glenn Miller.

I live in England. Not far from Bedford where the Band was stationed during the war. I met his clarinettist, Peanuts Hucko, a couple of times when he visited England for memorial concerts in the 1970's and 1980's.

The closest to this music in England, was the Syd Lawrence Orchestra which played the original Miller arrangements.

Good... but still not as good as the original thing
