@KageyoshiSQD1 Well the manga is kind of contradictory because we saw vergil defeated (killed i think) in DevilMayCry 1 as Nelo Angelo proving that he had also been corrupted and transformed and that couldn't be the Vergil sanctus described in his memory, so there would have to be some big explanation on Capcoms part to explain this, or not because the manga of DMC4 was made by Bingo and at the time and he wasn't working with capcom anymore so... fuck we need more info on this...

@RokLinen when vergil died as nelo angelo he was thrown back into hell where agnus and his men found him and took the yamato prior to the dmc 4 story line when nero was going to die vergil came to him and said what is it that ur heart desires and he replied what does urs desire and he said power and nero said thats what i want too thats why nero said a voice echoed power give me more power vergil is still alive due to the yamatos link to him plus nero being his son pljus dante knows hes alive

@KageyoshiSQD1 But in the end of DMC3 in the bonus cutscene we can see vergil facing Mundus which leads us to believe he was defeated and corrupted afterwards.

I know this is all really confusing but I'm just pointing out all of the angles, If vergil is really still alive acording to the manga then GREAT , JUST GREAT I guess that is what we all want, but still in the game you see Dante speaking of vergil as if he passed away ''It used to belong to my brother'' etc makes u wonder

You can tell by their cockiness, their awesome outfits, and their affinity with swords that they're related. What really gets me laughing is that these two are at each other's throats most of the time, when together they took down a wannabe "God". The fact they're rivals only makes their union more complete.

hey did you know that in one of the levels [probably this one], theres a secret 2 player mode where you can play as DANTE and VIRGIL? its true!

me and my brother loved this game and when i pressed the start button, i appeared as virgil. you should try it x]

and btw if you have a gameshark and enable devil mode all the time, you can have a 2 player mode again with your shadow devil.
