@99tonibell99 Dear Sirs i grew up on the streets of sw london in the 1950s and 60s our first tonibell hard ice cream van was a j2 a rare van for tonibell it was followed by bedford 295 BCR and then 8995 TR the unique reg bedford tonibell van often to be seen in and around Kennington during that time was that of 1 BOW hope this is of some interes to you best wishes Bob
Thanks ever so much for the information and lovley story, Yes I have heard of the famous No Plate 1 BOW and if you go to our site you will see also a tonibell Bedford from Basildon tonibell yard of 5076 TR. As well as the Picadsor models there after and to date over the years and lovingly remembered to this day. Our Vans today still do the Boats and Strawberry Sundeas of them great years at our weddings which are always requested.Keep the memorys coming and pictures ,Regards
@SarahSmith666 Hi Sarah, yes it was Regan, tonibell was always heard on the sweeney, when ever you heard an ice cream chime it would always be tonibell.Have a look next time you see the sweeney on tele and you here an ice cream van in the back round!

and were based in basildon and brentwood and used to run the rounds at harold hill romford back in the 60s and 70s the van i mean is the one pictured at 0.30 great vans that seemed to have completely disapeared. loved tonibell brings back great memories.
