@scott0869 The point is it was practically a remake of Star Trek 4 (same concept, just with different characters and a somewhat different plot line). Not very well done, if you ask me, but that's my opinion.
I like the episode in general, but it just lacks the umph of some other time travel episodes. Tuvok and Tom and that were great and the Doctor got a holo-emitter, but I just don't think Starling was that much of a nemesis...and the timeline was a little wonky if you ask me. But yeah a fair episode granted, if you ask me I think Janeway had a little to much 'LDS' in this one though.
I guess it's been a while since I've seen the episode. That or I'm completely dense. Is the similarity only that they travel back in time and they get to have fun making scenes where they interact with modern (to the viewers) culture?
Oh... I think I just answered my own question. Stamp me with a dork stamp.
I like it. Sorry it is like the only episode that hints at Janeway and Paris for a pairing. If you believed in evolution who is to say that you could end up like that. You never know. I like it.
What puzzles me is why Captain Braxton couldn't send Voyager back to Earth a few years earlier because of the temporal prime directive, but it was perfecly fine to let the doctor keep his 29th century technology, which starfleet presumably got hold of later.
Then there's the fact that the 20th century has been contaminated by future technology, that's all fine, but Voyager can't go home early, that would really fuck up the timeline. At least it's not as bad as warp 10 though.
At least it's not as bad as the last episode, where for some reason Janeway fucks the timeline right in the ear, and future Starfleet doesn't do a thing about it.
Temporal investigations must be pretty corrupt, I guess they're willing to turn a blind eye to temporal fuckups if they end up severely damaging the Borg.
If they fixed the timeline, they might doom the Federation to eventual assimilation. Then the future starfleet wouldn't be able go back to prevent it, so it would happen anyway and so on... Maybe they don't try to fix it if it would cause a paradox if they did. I reckon devoted Trekkies can explain anyway any amount of inconsistency.
I sense some bitter maggots... tiny dick'd Voyager fans.. have been rating this video lowly because they think their shitty episode was decent. When in fact it was a steamy pile of sailors cum.
I sense these same people will give me the thumbs down....
I've seen ever episode of Voyager 2 or 3 times and I still didn't know what you are talking about. Had to go look it up. Yes, some VOY episodes are not very good.
Funniest star trek joke Ive ever seen. Pure brillance laughed my arse off

Is it me, or is Tom Paris' temporary chick in this episode that unfunny Sarah Silverman from "The Sarah Silverman Show"?
Also this episode is, I can wholeheartedly agree, not very good.

I thought it was an alright episode. :/
Yeah that's her. I was thinking of doing some sort of 'Fucking Matt Damon' joke, but I only realised it was her after I made this video.
Tranchera 4 years ago
Haha, I'd never seen her in anything before/since

Yes - very true! - although strangely one of the few 3rd season entries I liked (that is until Scorpion blew them all out of the water)

If Zebonka is right, you guys are missing the point.
It's an alright episode, I don't mind it. But really. Put some whales in and it's Star Trek IV all over again.

Voyager, boldly going where everyone has gone before. Paris even picked up a colourful metaphor, although a crap one.
