Hi does anyone know how to connect virgin media to this box, i have standard virgin box, have 3 different connections going into box, but on eurovox i can see hd and only 2 other connections where does the cable wire plug into on the eurovox, please help

@dstructo88 Mate, i have just got virgin HD, its a total rip off £60 a month!, can i buy a eurovox HD and receive exactly the same channel if i lower my package right down?

Also if yes then which box is the best! much appreciated for your help

Does the EX7000hd come with all the channels already open or do you need to flash it?

I really don't want to be messing about with flashing the box, so i've got a choice between this or the Staview HD which is to be released later this month. Both are similar price, so i just want the one that will work straight out of the box.

u have to flash it with the firmware but its not hard... all you do is put the firmware ona usb stick and plug it into the back of the eurovox.

Since seeing this i have ordered a EX7000HD, and have read up a bit about flashing.

Should be getting mine early next week, can't wait to get it flashed and start watching some HD telly.

I'm going to be using the september release of firmware, which one do you have installed?

same one.. it will be fine... if your channels stop working rescan your box. if after you rescan they still dont work then that means you probably would need a new firmware but right now everything is fine on the sept one.

Yeah...got mine and setup this tuesday...working great...really simple to use aswell....although I've given up on trying to sort the favorites and just sorted the channels into alphabetical order instead.

no. The HD channels you get would be the ones that you could recieve through a Virgin media box.

lol. i hav a few questions. first i want 2 know if this is a cable box? second i want to know do u need a subscription with a cable company like chorus or ntl or can i just put up an aerial and plug in my eurovox? lastly i want to know did u have to flash this box to get these channels? sorry bout all da questions but im new to this and i want a eurovox. nice vid and id appreciate ur help!

yeh you have to have a subscription to cable.....OR.. if u get something like Virgin Broadband.. because it runs through the same cable as the digital would you can split the wire and use that. I did have to flash the box with the new firmware *u can google search and find it* all you do is just put it onto a usb key and plug into the box of the box and load the firmware from it to get the channels.

do you have a cable feed in your house from telepest? if you do and the feed is live you should be able to hook up a box

connect the coxail feed in to the back of a flashed eurovox and if premium channels like sly sports etc work then the feed is live/

@07882794665 has your eurovox got a working firmware on it? and did your attach an f plug to the f connector on the coxail cable before connecting to the eurovox?

@07882794665 the coxial feed from virgin will already have an f connector at the end of it. you just need an f-adaptor at the end of the f connector. then when you connect f adaptor to the back of a eurovox box with latest firmware. then do a fresh scan for channels and you should be up and running providing the feed is live.

but i dont think it's wise to buy a new eurovox/dbox or any other cable box as virgin are switching over to nagra 3 and when virgin have sent the new nagra 3 cards to its customers then these boxes will be useless

man,can u actually get sky sports with it?i dont have a satellite dish or a subscription to sky yet.what do you need along with eurovox to get all the sky channels?

you can get all the channels you get with virgin cable-i have had mine for more than 2 years now and i watch sky sports ,movies mtv,espn the whole lot. you can even watch the live events like boxing(haye vs goliath lol) wwe and all that too.

i see man but do you have to pay a monthly basic subscription to the cable provider??also,do you have to update the codes every so often to keep the signals coming in?is sky sports good quality?!im in ireland,id love to get this in as opposed to paying 60euros to sky per month.

@TheDarkestOFDays1 the ones that are being sold now cme with the software already so you dnt hav to do much just basically plug and play. just had a friend of mine bought one and he recieved it 2 days ago and all he had to do was to go on a website download software onto memory stick then load onto box which took less than 10 min and he was watchin all hes channels.i hav had mine 2 yrs and i watch all the channels you get on virginie sports,movies music etc. no mnthly payments too
