Sounds like your wireless USB stick was dropping packets like crazy. If it hadn't have been quick to start with I would have assumed the reciever was damaged.
I had that usb network card once. It worked really well, now I have a belkin and it's the biggest load of crap I have seen. A PCI card should be much better. Maybe the usb is N and your pci is G.
I'm getting an N soon today, I hope it won't get bad signal as you said :P
i think i know how it is when you do the bench and un plug counting up with and when you plug it in the speed incrase becouse its counting data in a mount of time and it only have 10 sec left of the 30 sec test so it count the resoult becouse you unplug it when you did the bench its true that you says that the speed is fake becouse its no real bench when you abort it/unplug it you must do test without interuptions to se the real speed
@b0brenjc93 i have a question my internet is hooked up with at&t and im thinking of updating soon to roadrunner and anybody who has it knows that its a main router which meen it cant releace a wireless signal so im going to buy a wireless rouder to connect to to it so my question is there is the G rouders and N rouders which one do i get and how do i tell the diffrence between them please i need help

Possibly a cache problem which wasn't emptying.
Hard wiring is usually better!

You might want to try updating your device drivers if your networking device isnt working properly.
