  • great video!

  • The background music rocks!

  • its a KAR-15 Kommifornia AR-15 :)

  • Finally! A great how-to video for the AR. It was easy to follow and video quality was great. Thanks!

  • Golly Mr...that sure is a nice rifle...

  • Grate video!!!!!!!!!

  • just wondering, "field strip" would mean you're doing it in the field and not your house right?

  • @knpdyeballarice

Field Strip means only the Required amount of Disassembly needed to properly clean the weapon

  • Funny music!

  • Excellent video.

  • Good video Thanks

  • Hi what kind of ar15 do u have there?! drool droooooolz

  • The song is called Happy Go Lively by Laurie Johnson, for anyone who's interested. :)

  • Great video. Music is perfect.

  • What kind of AR-15 do u have? It looks like really good quality, is it a Rock river arms, Stag, S & W? Also i was wondering if the front vertical hand grips only attach to pica-tinny type heat guards?

  • very instructional - clear, easy to understand, and keeps my attention. thanks.

  • I'm loving the music. =]

  • this is a really swell video. thanks

  • most people from cali are rude disrespectful and seems like they have no commonsense i never thot that tell 3 defferent familys moved here to my neighborhood from cali ps maybay thats y theres so many LAWS there!!!!!!!!!

  • How come your magazine release doesnt work like a standard one?

  • the video is geat awesome but the music rial fuck't up

  • love the irony of the music to the subject matter

  • perfect muic.

  • how many round that mag hold? you can only have 10 round mag in cali right?

  • LOVE THE MUSIC.

  • What is the thing on the bottom of your mag? I've never seen one with that on there.

  • @t1msguitar

The Magpul PMAG Ranger Plate is a floorplate replacement for the 5.56x45 PMAG and EMAG™ that incorporates an integral loop similar to the original Magpul USGI Ranger. When installed on the base of a magazine, the PMAG Ranger Plate provides unsurpassed speed and controllability during high stress, tactical magazine changes.

  • @viras2733 Gotcha. Thanks. I've never seen those for sale. Where did you get yours from? or did you order it?

  • was that a live round that u used to push out the lower receiver retaining pin?

  • @phillynavy2009

no. inert. i never use live rounds for demos.

  • @phillynavy2009 Its a plastic round called a snap cap, just for checking the functions.

  • @CAdoomvideos When?

  • what exactly makes the ar15 legal in california cause i have____ but dont no if its legal so can you tel me the facts or anybody who knows thanks

  • @XxNickSSxX44

this is what makes it legal.

dub dub dub dot calguns dot net / caawi / flowchart.pdf

  • @viras2733 i type the address in and it gave me an error 404 page..any other sites?

  • @viras2733

    link didnt work for me

  • I'm assuming the guns cali legal because of the "fixed " mag release... and no guy down there his mad is not broken thats just how we in cali remover our mags because of damn assault laws..anyway did you own the gun before the law was changed or did you buy it with the Tooled mag release?

  • I love stripping this rifle, its fun. We have .22LR conversions at my target club. AR-15 in M4 configuration. Fun gun to use at 50 yards lol. When thats enough just go onto the Sako .308 at 1000 yards :D

  • "use a tool" hehe or a red pen :P

  • music = epic XD

  • nice... entertaining too

  • Ren and Stimpy, way cool...Nice Rifle....is it yours...

  • I don't meant to critique but what about checking the star chamber and cleaning it?

Or were you only intending on only working with the rear assembly?

  • @justinwhitman Thanks! NO really thanks for your support and compassion towards us oppressed cali. gun owners. Luckily people here are finding ways to somewhat get around the stupid restrictions, but it is hard and still does suck.

  • @justinwhitman Thanks! No I really mean it. Thanks for your support and compassion towards us oppressed Cali. gun owners. Luckily people here are finding ways to go around the bullshit restictions, but all in all it is hard and does suck.

  • really good, luv the music.

  • HAHAHA! Ren and Stimpy!!! My favorite childhood cartoon!!

  • Man, you should educate those idiot cali lawmakers... requiring a special tool to release the magazine!?

So if the weapon malfuntions, you have to screw around with a special tool just to remove the magazine and render the weapon safe! Sorry, man. Be careful.

  • oooooh! That's one scary-lookin, kick-ass looking assault weapon!

  • @migkillertwo it is not an assault weapon

  • I do this whole strip in 41 seconds on my page. Go watch

  • The individuals who come up with some of these gun laws need to be put on trial for crimes against humanity. I have no problem at all with background checks, and the like. In my state it's just a 5-10 minute annoyance at worst. But the butchering that most be done on our beloved EBR's in some states to make them "compliant" is a whole new kind of ridiculous.

  • Excellent video....made learning fun!....I've got the AR...but where can I get that music?

  • It sounds like the Sims music to me.

  • great video man. shows step by step. now i know how to clean and take apart.... all i now need is.... my AR and a clean desk lols

  • just put a monster man grip and take off the flash suppressor and you can get rid of the bullet button problem. Legal in Kalifornia

  • That's not a proper function test...

  • Why not? Short of actually shooting the rifle with live ammo, this is the best function test you can preform in the comfort of your own home... The goal of this function test is to ensure that the "primer" on the Snap Cap is indented...

  • @viras2733 1. Charge dummy round into chamber. 2. Engage safety. 3. Pull trigger (hammer should not drop) 4. disengage safety. 5. Pull trigger (hammer should drop). 6. Continue holding trigger. 7. Recharge rifle with charging handle, while holding trigger back. 8. Release trigger. You may hear a click, as the disconnector drops the hammer onto the sear, but hammer should NOT drop all the way. 9. Pull trigger again. Hammer should drop. 10. Check dummy rounds for indented primers.
  • OK, my bad. I didn't do all of the steps above. :( I stand corrected. Thanks for educating me!

  • @viras2733

    You're welcome.

  • @viras2733 Just like to say, very nice video. Everything was very clear to people who want to learn it. And funny music too!

  • @uraijit If anyone's wondering/interested, this functionality check is almost exactly the same for all semi-automatic firearms. If you know where to file down it is fairly easy to convert to a full auto weapon, however, doing this is illegal...

  • very well done sir

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!

  • interesting music

  • Sucks to be in The Peoples Repubilk of Kalifornia

  • This is the best AR-15 field strip video I have seen here on YouTube so far, primarily because the close-up video quality is excellent. Thank you!

  • man i feel bad for the people that live in california and what was up with that bullet button it's something i never heard of but i own an ar and have some mods done on it but i was looking for that butt stock where did you get it from

  • I just bought my first AR 15, a Colt Match Target, thanks for this video, it explains alot for me.

  • i never knew what a bullet button is until now.

so if i make a mold of that, and make a little strap for my thumb so i can reload it like a regular AR, would that accessory be ilelgal?

  • It would be illegal in california, i think.

  • If you live here in CA yes it would be illegal.

  • Yes it would be illegal. So are the BB tool "rings" for sale at gunshows all over the state. Go on Calguns forum, they have the info on there.

  • Yes! The bullet button is the by far the greatest single invention a Californian gun owner could ask for. I really hope that California gun control doesn't get any worse than it is already... I still need to buy myself an AR-15 and it would be a shame if those silly liberals began to catch on.

  • Try to order an AR asap, ya never know what new laws might come along...

    I just ordered one.

    - Cali resident

  • wtf is a 'bullet button" ??

  • man, i was jammin like crazy to that music brother! well done vid!

  • great music lol

  • LOL, wouldn't it be a good idea if someone make a finger wrapped or a glove that has a decent strong pointy tip on an index finger so it'd make bullet button easier to be pushed ;]

  • Yeah that bullet button is a real bitch sometimes...;)

  • I think I posted the same comment on a different video word for word. NOT lying.

  • I love the music from the old timers..lol. That Ar looks mean with that Scope man.

    Look at my gun collection;

    watch?v=vmzEWU2FIww

Let me know what you think....please rate it .....hehe.

  • i dont really like guns but the tune was so good it kept me interested and it was actually FREAKIN NICE!!

  • It is probably better not to use oil on the carrier group. The best thing is wheel bearing grease (small amount). It will not be affected by high temps as much as oil will. Always check for gasket wear also. Good job brothers.

  • aWESOME VIDEO....BEST MUSIC EVER...thanks

  • Thanks for posting!

  • Great video, Viras! Very detailed...

  • Is your magazine release button broken?

  • its not broken its a specially manufactured release that requires a tool to push it in like a pen or bullet tip common in california because of the strict laws

  • It's a magazine-locking device called a "Bullet Button". We have to use them in CA because of the poopy laws. :(

  • holy crap dude! I was reading about that on one of the AR manufacture's websites and I didn't understand what they were talking about.! I forgot what they called it. some locking magazine feature to comply with the laws and now I see! that is absolutely crazy. Awesome gun though man and great vid. I can actually see what you are doing!! There are so many field strip vids on YT and they are worthless. that goes for all gun vids on YT. thanks for posting a good one.

  • You can also top load an Ar15. That is what I have mostly because I don't trust the legality of the "Bullet Button" so I'm not taking any chances and top loading mine.

  • wered did you get the scope?

  • I love the music it's like having romance with the m4 XD

  • Great video. I love the format.

You've pretty liberal with those tools, though, eh? Pliers to remove the cam pin? Get your hands dirty! Heh.
