Elliot was just another user. Poor John. If only there was someone geniune. His genious came at a cost. I pray in the end Johnny looks back and smiles...
In the long run, especially when thinking of Yoko or his closest friends despite his many unfortunate misgivings in his life, he must have truly valued real friendship, a kind that is not the consequence of his fame, but his character.
I don't think John would have been that cynical in real life to believe that friends were only an illusion. Many of these sources are flawed because it is based on the loose speculation of John's words within a certain time period of his life. It is hard to really grasp man inside of his head, or even the man in action because so many different people had different experiences with him.
Sudden death....So shocking to think how he was here living and breathing and vibrant....then the next minute, voom! through the portal to his mortal exit... I remember now.
Indeed he was. As my videos clearly show, a great portion of the Double Fantasy songs were, in one form or another, completed months before the sessions. Some were created in Bermuda or merely refined there. But John was very active.
Remember reading the article in Rolling Stone (1982 i believe) about John's Bermuda trip and his sailing lessons? It really seemed like John had a wonderful experience b4 what happened.
I am really glad that John got to do that before "it" happened. It had always been a lifelong dream of his and I have some articles in my collection about that trip. He was so used to being surrounded by employees who tended to his every need, but then there he was in this big huge ocean manning the boat while the rest of the men were incapacitated with seasickness. It must have made him feel on top of the world. I am glad he experienced that for himself before his untimely end.
Going to fix and remaster "Baby Make love to you." Can I post it here?

The host is annoying. Why can't they just allow us to listen to his genius progress at work.

@nerdygrl64 When you lose your mother once, you become cynical. When you lose your mother twice, it makes you insanely angry.

It's neat hearing these demos. It's like hearing him write "Real Love" and "I'm Stepping Out"

Some of the source material for these demos is the Lost Lennon Tapes which is why Elliot Mintz won't shut up (he was the host).

John was really busy with home demos during his being a dad. Cool post!
