  • how many motors , ir recievers it has?? tanks

  • @francogonz Two motors, one receiver.

  • dud ethis is an awsome tank! do you have any blue prints for this tank? id love to make it

  • win :D

  • it's much faster than the real ones :) the real ones can drive 3km/h

  • That real looks a little bit like the mark nice work

  • Thats cool I love military history.

Was this a set or did you have to put it together entirely from odds and ends?

  • @ultrajd Of course this was not a set. Lego doesn't make tanks, ever.

  • @searme Well it could have been mega blocks. Thats mainly why I asked.

  • @ultrajd I wouldn't call it a Lego Mark I then.

  • @searme Right...

Anyway what sets did you use to make it?

  • @ultrajd Forget sets, I just go to Bricklink and buy the pieces I need.

  • @searme Cool. Maybe you should make two or three more and have your own battle of the Somme.

  • @ultrajd If I may have a suggestion, you should check my recent tanks, not this 2007 antique.

  • @searme I'll be sure to.

  • all tat moving stuff is so expensive!!

  • thats way too fast to be a mark 1

  • lulz THE FIRST EVER TANK lol srsly tho it is

  • Nice replica and is almost as fast as the real tank.

  • @Lucaferguson LOL i think its faster';-)

  • this is to good not to hate

  • do you think you could, make a better video with it?

  • @SpadXIIIFlyer I would need a time machine to go back to when it was complete.

  • lol goes to fast XD

  • nice historic replica. From WW1 right?

  • I like the turrets at the side. Great job on capturing the details. My one concern is that maybe where the power functions connect to the tread link, there should be a small to large gear so it slows it down a little. I don't mean to be nit picky but it looks a little bit too fast. ;)

  • can you please tall me where did you buy that

  • @Davidenkovich97 No, I can't, because I MADE it.

  • Now I want to play with lego :|

  • how did you get the tracks? were a kit?

  • @jandro1958 I bought them.

  • Great work. 1: its a brill WW1 tank, very authentic. 2: Its RC!!!

  • go's a little fast for a mark I IR but still nicely made

  • nice tank!

  • if what i think is correct, it's based on the first tank ever made (not designed, please don't mention da vinci) and it was British! (yes!)

  • nice tank only ww1

  • coll cool

  • Model jest świetny... ale za szybki jak na czołg z I wojny :)

  • did you use a rcx or nxt?

    or something else??

  • Power Functions.

  • is this the same tank as in indianajones3???

  • Not exactly.

  • No. not really, this is a world war 1 tank

  • Something random and funny I just thought of: This lego model is probably faster and less likely to break down than a real Mark I tank!

  • uhhhh why is EVERY single comment on this video thummed down? and most of them arent even bad comments

  • Sorry, but I'm kinda tired of people asking the same thing again and again. Especially with people too lazy to use Google and expecting better results on "where to buy lego" from me.

  • that lookes like that tank off of last crusade

  • Yes, the tank from The Last Crusade was based on Mark Tadpole, a Mark tank with longer back section. Also the WH 40k tank, Leman Russ, was based on WWI tanks, altough a lot shorter and with turret.

  • no it wasnt. the tank in last crusade was based on a mark viii

  • The Indiana Jones tank was actually a replica late war Mk VIII "International" Heavy tank, not a tadpole. You can tell by the shape of the suspension. The front is too rounded, and the slope near the end is too steap for a Tadpole. The only large modification for the movie was the fitting of a turret, and the removal of the driver's cab. The real tank mounted around 7 Hotchkiss MGs, and 2 shortened ex-naval 57mm 6-pounder guns. The I.J. one mounts 3 6-pounders, and (I think) 3 Hothkiss MGs.

  • Impressive knowledge, seemingly you're right.

  • where did u get all of those links for don't they cost a fourtune?

  • Oh people, have you ever heard of eBay or Amazon?

  • how many are on the tank

  • I made a british sherman because i dont have enough treads for the mark

  • i have a real mark1 and a mark4 tank

  • enserio???...genial.....sube videos¡¡¡¡¡

  • where u get those tracks/treads?

  • From Lego sets, surprise.

  • from witch set?

  • you can get them from a newer city bulldozer (not powered, but still the same tracks), or an older power functions set.

  • thats probably faster than a real mark1 lol XD

  • i have a mrk 1 too but its not as long becaues i don t have as much tred

  • can you tell how many pices that you need and show how to make it because the pictures dont help enough

  • No, I can't. Try to be creative, that's what Lego is about.

  • what picturers

  • Pictures on my website, link to which you may find on my channel.

  • can you make a website to sell this becase i really want this tank badly o can you post how to make this and what parts you need

  • I don't sell it, and the pictures should be enough to copy it.

  • where did you get the black threads?

  • This is old type of treads, it comes almost exclusively in black.

  • What kind of remote and receiver did you use? I'm having a lego battlebots tournament.

  • Power Functions elements.

  • what kind of wheels did you use to make the treads turn, please be specific

  • I used 16 tooth gears for that, and approx. 160 link treads if I recall.

  • thankyou

  • I can't seem to find the tread/tracks on that website. What is the proper name for the treads on your tank? It's pretty late here, so I'm probably not thinking straight...

  • Look for "link tread".

  • @gorrammit go to ebay

  • is that a result of you collecting lego kits or is there a way of ordering specific lego parts (like the treads)?

  • There is such a way, google for "bricklink".

  • Thanks a lot. And what kind of treads did you use?

  • The old ones, 3 studs wide.

  • Thanks

  • nice tank but how come no music

music makes vids. better enless they talk in it

  • you should make a lego indiana jones video from the third film last crusade

  • I hate indiana jones.

  • Nice tank, shows how far they have come, lol. Can you imagine riding around in that rust bucket?

Well anyway, nice model now go buy yourself a decent camcorder.

  • That's really good. Your model goes ten times as fast as the real MK 1 did, but it's really small that's ok. 5/5

  • Now all you need are moveable guns that shoot :D. Great job, it looks so real

  • reminds me of da last crusade lol awesome

  • 5 out of 5 that is so cool.

  • I WANT IT. 1000/6!!!!

  • ok replica...

  • cool...

  • You should also make its cannons retractable...

    great job XP

  • nice replica, very good job i guve u 6/5 ******

  • Hmm... are these huge all-around tracks actually used, or does it just have some wheels underneath? It's not really clear from this video... though I guess if it had wheels it'd move better on the hard floor.

Either way, this looks amazing! I love these old tank designs :)

  • Tracks are obviously used. These maneouvres would be difficult to perform on wheels.

  • try it outside

  • me and my friend made Lego takes that when fired, they send a signal and if it hits the other tank, pieces fly off(from motors and springs(sounds weird but yea)) and mist comes out like smoke. took 3 years but it was worth it.

  • thats cool! you should market that idea, it might work! I know Id buy it :)

  • totaly it be worth more than have the crap that lego puts out now

  • I think it'd be able to turn more efficiently and much faster if you make one side go forward and the other go backward...although I'd understand if you may not be able to do that while holding the camera!

  • it need better tration but i like

  • kind of looks like the german mark 5 tank in the last crusade

  • a winrar is you

  • Awesome! Have you seen Jarlly00's RC Tiger?

  • Yes, I did. Most awesome :)

  • you know what? he go faster than hte original one :D

  • Yeah, a bit ;)

  • srry to say but without a turret with a barrel facing in the direction were the sloped down part is now it looks kindove gay but i couldnt build it anyways so good job

  • That's what the best WW1 tanks looked like - British built!

  • u beat me to say that it was from WWI

  • hey nice video. im looking to make a Mark IV tank out of lego, but with mindstorms NXT instead of PF elements. i found you pictures on brickshelf and they have been very helpfull. allthough the Mark 1 and Mark IV are different models, your tank has given me great ideas!

    Yours,

    Airkraft-NXT

  • Glad to hear my work helped you.
