It's not underwear they are wearing a leotard under their costume, the costume it self has a leotard built in. Aino Minako/Sailor Venus died in Act 47. of an illness that she had before she became a Sailor soldier. They don't exactly say what illness it is though, it's assumed to be a brain tumor or something along those lines. Princess Serenity is one of the characters that has the most depth about them in the series and story because you don't get a lot of insight about her only how she dies.

For example, if you've ever worn a dance costume the bloomers are something you wear over your underwear so you can move and flip without worry. Same with cheerleading. It's a uniform thing. I personally don't understand all the hate for the princess. She's lost the love of her life repeatedly. She even explained that, during their first go at love, he was the only one that bothered to see the real her. If you loved someone that much, someone that loved you enough to protect you and sacrifice themselves, wouldn't you feel as though the entire world was destroyed? She simply has the power to make her feelings real.

@ShadowVampira The addition of the Princess Sailor Moon and the fact that she is a destructive force did indeed add depth to the story as well as having Mamoru already with a "significant other" upon his meeting Usagi again. I don't like how they tied that little end up, and I wish they had been a bit more "gutsy" and had Mamoru have actual feelings for the girl not out of obligation, but at least it was something different.

@SailorStarSenshi1 It's supposed to be this way. In the manga, everyone's uniform is somewhat different. Mercury's has no shoulder pads. Mars' has a jewel at the bottom of the suit. Jupiter has a chain with a sphere of pedals around the waist. Venus has her love-me chain wrapped around the waist. It was the anime which somehow made them all look the same.

Now in the end--Princess Serenity’s redemption from the sins of the past life (reincarnated as Usagi Tsukino) had to sacrifice herself like Endymion for the sake of saving everyone. When she moved past her selfish desires, and was thoughtful of others. Serenity/Usagi was able to sacrifice her power, and life. Therefore the planet is restored, and everyone lives again. All issues of the past are resolved, and there will be no more repeating of the past life.

He was the one who was the most loyal to his master Endymion while Nephrite rivaled with Jadeite for Queen Beryl's favor. Once again though, great post. It was thorough and a wonderful read.

Queen Beryl-sama issues were with princess Serenity, who stole Endymion from her in the past life, therefore starting the war that ended everything. Beryl blamed Serenity for this as well, and in the past life saw her as a selfish child that only cared about what she (Serenity) wanted without having no consideration on how her actions affected others.
