@F17F22 Yes! They must be separate picture files, oriented as shown in the video, and of similar pixel size. This can be done in any picture editor. I suggest you use paint.net, because it is free for download, has many free tutorials available for it, and I use it in one of the latter episodes of this tutorial.
This is the best tutorial video of the plane maker for newbies. Thanx for that. Can you also let me know if you can drag along the aircraft on your work space for different viewing angles by mouse or is it just keyboard controls coz my mouse doesnt seem to drag the stuff along.
@deltaa42 Thanks for the feedback! ;-) Unfortunately, as far as I know, one can only drag the aircraft with keyboard controls. Its the same story for moving the components in editing windows. The good news is that you will become very familiar with the control keys as you build.
@amessina333 If you are referring to three views, they can be found almost anywhere. If you want to build a specific aircraft, Ex: MiG 21, then you need to enter "MiG 21 three view" into an internet search engine and you should get good results. Hope this helps.
@Boeing747F1 Click file at the top and then save. If it is a new aircraft you will need to select the aircraft folder you want it to be saved in. Ex. Aircraft/General Aviation/Cessna 172. You can also go into these folders when you opening the x-plane folder. After saving the aircraft in plane maker you will want to exit plane maker, locate your aircraft in its folder, and create a subfolder for the aircraft. To get an idea of what I am saying look at the already existing aircraft you have.
why doesnt the prop rotate ?

@whoopboyable It has no name at this time, it is a design of my own. I will eventually name it.

Thanks for posting this tutorial. I'm a newbie at X-Plane. I'd like to learn how to make 3 dimensional cockpits.
