First, Mario is generally accepted as the #1 series. Zelda is good, but can you care to explain why Metroid is in front of the plumber?

Second, Smash Bros is a trio buddy. Bros, Melee and Brawl... so you cant count them out on the basis of not being a trio.

Zelda games. for me anyway, are a wee bit too dark and repetitive for my taste.

It is magic this and that, followed by traveling all over the place while slashing up hoards of things.

However, I do like the scenarios that cause you to think.  Mario and Luigi don't have many puzzle-type elements in them.
