Owner to Vet--"My cat got hit by a cyclist."

Vet to Owner--"It looks a little tired to me."

It would be more accurate to say that he did not hit the cat, the cat got in his way. Hardly his fault, & what do you expect from a species of animal which roams wherever it wants. I have a cat & a dog and if they were run over I would be upset but if they were run over by a cyclist & the cyclist was hurt as a result I would be even more upset that a human was hurt. I love my pets but they are animals. Human's are more important.

Its very upsetting and all, but Ive seen cats run over by cars like this and they sometimes just walk away.

I've hit roadkill before, but never a living animal as yet.
