You should certainly tab out what you were doing at 8:07. I'd love to learn that. I'm new to all of this, and your videos are the first I'm tabbing. I'm trying to get used to using these types of scales in songs and if you tabbed that out, that would be fantastic. Thanks so much for the awesome lessons man. Keep up the good work!
lovin' these lessons bro! I think you're an awesome teacher & I've learned alot so far. Please don't be uncool & start hitting me up for paypal or some lameness like that.
Awesome stuff as usual Banjo Ben! You are the absolute best guitar teacher I have ever seen on youtube or anywhere else. Thanks for teaching me and many others so much about the bluegrass guitar, it is greatly appreciated!
Very nice licks, executed quite nicely. Clear instructions, thanks very much. The guitar needs to go, however; it just doesn't make it for sound, even on this great Bose/Mac system. Try a D-28.
I am going to ride my MC through some of the Appalachians. Any spots up there with good music gatherings? We are going through NAshville heading east in September.
Agree Tony Rice IS AWESOME, I just started bluegrassin ! TY learning all you showing and enjoying cool playing! I hope enough before this summerfest!
I just cannot say enough for the help you have given to want-a-be bluegrass pickers, especially the young kids who love our music. Thanks So Much for taking the time.
Thanks Ben. I'd like to echo all the other thanks and comments on here. I've been playing for a long time but am very rusty (I never really became a confident soloist). I just joined a new bluegrass band a few weeks ago. My flat top skills are real rusty and you've really helped me get back into things and also showed me some really practical things to do while soloing. Thanks so much! (Not sure if you know but there's a real vibrant bluegrass community in the Czech Republic)
Thank you, Ben, for taking the time to teach me your cool-sounding licks. I'm a slow learner, but I'm coming along faster now that I have your videos to help me. Thank you again!
Ben, do you know this "banjoben32" with his song "baby I'll eat your XXXXX while you watch tv"? When I'm looking at your videos, I notice his video sometimes comes up as a related video.
I can't thank you enough for sharing your licks with us! I never thought I could play stuff like this but I'm actually doing it! You rock!! THANK YOU banjoben!!!
OK I now officially give up, I'll never be a fast picker. Great lessons though, mate, and I love that Bryan Sutton lick. I shall be practising for the next 13 years until I get it to somewhere near half speed...
I have been playing almost 7 years and without being able to afford lessons I never picked up these types of licks. I really appreciate you sharing this knowledge for all to enjoy Ben. Being a somewhat experienced picker I am catching onto these very fast. Thanks again brother
I really enjoy your lessons and you explain everything really well. How about a lesson on the tune Decision At Glady Fork that you play at the end? That's an excellent tune that is at the top of my list to learn. Thanks!
Great lesson !!!! You have a great way of teaching .. If your ever in Louisville I want some lessons.. Please keep it up. I can't wait to get out to a jam and try these out. Thanks alot..
That was f!@#$ng awsome dude. Maybe one day ill send you an instructional video..LOL. By the Way That Taylor sounds GREAT,What do you think about a collins???? Also, did that Bryan sutton lick come from decision at Glady's Fork???
Collings are awesome. I wish I had the money to buy one. I love their mando's too. And yes, that Sutton lick did come from Decision at Glady's Fork. I'm thinking about putting the whole song up if there was demand for it. Thanks for watching!

Iam planning a trip to Nashville in Sep. Any suggestions as to where to stay and where to go for food, and music?
TEB1952 2 years ago
You HAVE to go to Robert's Western World on Broadway. They generally have the BEST country bands and the hamburgers are second to none.
