I agree for some reason harley riders act like they own the road. I know that not all of them act this way but it seems they have some sort of atitude towards sport bikes. Hopefully this guy was just not a accomplished rider but most harley riders are very good riders. go figure

Must be different where you live because here we call them "Hardly Drivables" due to the fact most of them only have permits and drive in groups to be legal. You see here you can have a motorcycle permit for years and years without doing the full license so long as you have one person following with a full license. Most Harley dudes here only get the permit because the can't pass the slow speed (pylon) part on their Harleys :)

I learned how to ride from a friend who rides a Harley but just talked to him and he did take his license test on a sport bike because of the slow speed pylons. The riding in a group thing is an ugly loophole. driving in a group is not the simplest of riding.

I've had speeding sport bikes come up behind me suddenly. I glance at my mirrors regularly, but a speeder coming up on me sometimes enters the picture between glances so it's possible the cruiser doesn't even know you're there, then he realizes it, but he might have already started a maneuver at the same moment he notices you. I wasn't there, but I ride cruisers, and you sport bikers are often unpredictable coming up from behind so fast.

He moved over to the other lane so I thought I was in the clear to pass. But nooo....his CONSTANT erratic lane switching without blinkers or looking almost took me out.
