Well, on the set of Dark Blood, Judy and River Phoenix didn't get along very well, from what I've heard. The director said she gave everybody a hard time on set.

River couldn't stand her at all.

@AdArmand Actually you are incorrect, All of Rivers family and friends have come out and said that she was mean to him, he dreaded working with her because she was so mean to him, if you watch his Bio alot of people said that he told them not just george saying it, the whole cast & production hated her and its well documented from different people not just George, she was mean and horrible to work with, others have said it for different films.about that comment i dont know if its true, shes mean

I don't need to watch his 'Bio' to know it is sensationalist garbage exploiting River's last days and his mindset - making his downfall something that has to be romanticised and idealised and dramatised to evoke the inevitable fangirl reaction and hysteria. Judy Davis said in there she wishes she was still Judy Garland... 'this is the best I can manage' is exactly the sort of thing Judy Garland would say :) so.. she may not have the wig or contact lenses, but there's a bit of Judy Garland in all of us (although some are less willing to admit it ;) )

i heard she gave River Phoenix quite a hard time when they worked together, which has always baffled me as they seem to have shared very similar views on celebrity and the business and approach to craft. I'm guessing it must have been that Davis didn't find drug use to be all that professional..

Judy had won Australian and British acting awards when she was young before she was cast in american films, so I don't think that technically it was all down to the americans providing her with a career. And also a lot of american actors hate Bush too! Anyway Georgie doesn't pay her wages! And I would say that all the Australian actors you've probably heard of dislike the Bush administration, Crowe, Kidman, Rush, Blanchett, Ledger, Collette, Jackman....
