  • ...This movie is a wtf moment that lasted about an hour

  • Interesting Dark Young interpretation.

    This was very enjoyable.

  • I think he forgot to put an ending to the short film

  • exceptional little tale.

  • Where have I heard that sound effect at 2:25 before?

  • this has been out since August and only has 25000 views? something must be done.

  • @uptohisneck Those who like it like it a lot. The rest don't matter.

  • where is the goat then?

  • @krusher1974 The "goat" is Shub-Niggurath ("The Black Goat of the Woods With a Thousand Young"), a Lovecraftian deity. (The "trees" in this video represent her young)

There are many different interpretations of what "The Black Goat" means, and what this deity actually looks like, but usually she isn't portrayed as a literal goat.

  • Looks like he trapped a rabid gazebo.

  • HP Lovecraft never has his literature adequately depicted on film.

  • You rock, man!

I'm very impressed by the Young, and I'll be eagerly awaiting your interpretation of Shub-Niggurath.

  • Was there at the Film Festival to watch this. Agree with Mr. Del Toro about it, though I think it should have been the winner rather than the runner-up! Love your videos, guys.

  • Amazing

  • strange

  • Wow. This was great. Very well done. Hope I get to film things half as good as this some day soon.

  • Wow, really great ^^ i wish you could do a longer version.

  • Hey People, There is a pirated video out there using the name Black Goat, and our logo. THAT FILM HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS PROJECT. This is a teaser for a PLANNED feature. Any film longer than 6 minutes is NOT Black Goat.

    Thanks for your support,

    Joseph

  • Really enjoyed seeing this at the HPL film festival!

  • what camera did you use to shoot this?

  • @jeweljenay Red One

  • @badadvicegoodtimes what the fuck. did you buy it ? and if yes are you like a professional film studio ? because i think that the RED cameras are very expensive

  • @ulkord I'm just a guy. The camera was a rental.

  • @badadvicegoodtimes impressive video even though you are not professional

  • @ulkord Thanks man.

  • @badadvicegoodtimes

do not belive you del toro said it was really good, and you need more than one guy to do these kind of stuff

  • That's really well done! Love it.

  • I first saw this on my iPod and thought...meh...pretty good. But then I saw it on my bigscreen monitor whilst wearing headphones and I was blown away. I need to see more. My only criticism is in the tentacle scene...when they retracted, it would have been more realistic had there been scrape marks in the snow or had they moved the splinters of wood as they moved away. Just being picky!

  • thrilling!

  • i like this a lot - nice short and inspirational :D cheers

  • This is really cinematic. Well done.

  • Nice Work.

  • It's definitly very good! shame it is so short though! excellent depiction of the Dark Young... hope you do more!

  • The branch tentacles scared the crap out of me! And the image over at blackgoat.ca -enough to give you nightmares!

  • Ia! Shub-Niggurath! The Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young! Sorry just really wanted to quote that. Really nice work!

  • Congrats on this years HP Lovecraft fest inclusion.

  • Thanks everyone. @Eldritchfan if we get enough views you will indeed meet Mommy.

  • @badadvicegoodtimes Want Mommy! =/ lol

  • @ZyioScalebane Mommy coming. 'Like' Black Goat on Facebook to get all the latest news and such on the feature production.

  • @badadvicegoodtimes Ooooh yay =D Shall do!

  • Very good, hope u guys make some more like this

  • hp lovecraft, arkham horror black goat in the woods awesome stuff.

  • Gloriously Lovecraftian.
