  • I'm currently learning "Badinerie" on guitar. Almost got it, but it is a little tricky. Definitely one of my favorite pieces by Bach

  • @c4bb4g3 im learning Badinerie on violin for orchestra. it's one of my faves

  • Busdriver - Imaginary Places sampled this song.

  • I swear this sounds like something that would be straight out of Fable lol.

  • @Fluffypopcicle an arrangement of the Minuet was used in "Sid Meier's Pirates!" back in 2004. It was used as a dance to woo the governor's daughter. :)

  • 7 Loosers.

  • Who can dislike this? I'm worried about mankind's future

  • t owned jeremie

  • This was on my AP Music Theory test. Took me this long to find it. :O

  • Fantastic piece of art. Please everyone, play this to uneducated, ignorant assholes who think of Germans as Nazis etc. The Nazi-era were only 12 years of SAD history of a nation that's been around for over a thousand years...I wouldn't write this ,if it weren't for all this shit like 'Oh, you're German-you like Hitler? -Excuse me...................?????????

  • @einhundzweihund Absolutely, Germany has a very rich culture, both german literature and music are among the greatest achievements in world history. That tragical 12-year spell of madness and darkness cannot alter that fact.

  • what video did seamus mention this song :O

  • 1:26 ... I like this part the best :D

    love you Bach! <3

  • en mi orquesta sale un poco mal pero estamos haciendo el intento n.n

  • I love this piece! The minuet part makes me think of strolling through woods on an autumn morning for some reason and the badinerie makes me think of animals or nymphs frolicking playfully about, like in Greek myth?

  • @MerdogProductions Well this reminds me of a game I had, the game was in the barouqe age so they put this piece in it :p

  • @Bl00DN00B The game name was Pirates Of Caribbean?

  • @ctenochaetus Yeah thats the one. They play it when you learn how to dance with a lady. Stepping on her is fun =P

  • whats funny is that every time someone samples classical music i like it, then i find the original... and like it more. oh well at least it's exposure right?

  • Peak of mankinds creative urge.

  • Probably my favorite classical piece pre-1730. Just absolutely gorgeous.

  • I can't understand how people forgot about Bach, Vivaldi, Liszt, Beethoven, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Brahms and so many other artists... How could Lady Gaga and... Justin Beaver replace them? HOW ON EARTH IS THIS POSSIBLE!

  • @MusicFreak7895 They didn't forget, they died :(

the children that were dropped on their heads started making music and became famous, and once the great generation that created this music all passed away, the music the retarded babies made started growing in power.

  • @MusicFreak7895 What nonsense is this. You can't compare classical music and popmusic, it's silly. And Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber are poor examples where popmusic is concerned, that's really cheap. I'm lucky, I like both: classical and pop/rock.

  • @MusicFreak7895 umm, maybe cause they died?

  • J.S. Bach for ever.

Zeitgeist: J.S.Bach's Werke waren nach dessen Tod in Vergessenehit geraten. Erst Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy brachte sie durch sein Schaffen wieder zu Geltung.

  • Triumph of music!

  • Bach rules!!!

  • nice

  • busdriver

  • Ooooh, you know what this would be a great song to do a Ballet number to.... :)

  • This is the best version of Badinerie I've ever heard, the other ones are played too quickly, why? it's the players wanted to go to the bathroom, Bach's music it's about let it flow, no need to hurry at all

  • @ifyouwantbochin

I bought real estate in an imaginary place.

  • I don't like this version. Badinerie should be a little bit faster. Conductor/orchestra failed.

  • @Anihilacija

    you fail

  • @Anihilacija whats wrong with interpretation?

  • its so familiar....

  • @spidersmilk92 Might have heard it in imaginary places, by Busdriver

  • Muito bonita essa musica do bach, ele é m genio da musica classica.

  • kids, if you wanna piss off your parents, show interest in the arts

kids, if you really wanna piss off your parents, buy real estate in an imaginary place

  • @supersonicZ16 oh yes!

  • busdriver? imaginary places?

  • I just love Badinerie =)

  • Bach and after ?

  • The Badinerie never fails to make me smile.

  • Hoffman says it's important to remember that -- unlike the classic portrait showing Bach as "bewigged, bejowled, stout and stolid" old man -- the composer was once "a handsome, dashing guy." Much of Bach's best-loved music, including the Brandenburg Concertos and the pieces for solo violin and cello "were written when he was a young man in his 30s," Hoffman tells Edwards.

Hoffman makes that point in the following essay, appropriately titled "Johann Sebastian Bach Was Handsome Once":

  • the legend bach

  • you are legend

  • great!!

  • lulz busdriver XD

  • happy happy happy this makes my soul and my heart wow o_0 !!!!!!!!

  • Lol.

"I'm just here to hold your hand when you die."

  • well see, there's a problem with that...at the time they didn't have radios or anything like that and his music was probably studied but not played as frequently as it is...

    j/k...not to be taken seriously...

  • beautiful as always heavenly touched J.S.Bach with this famous orchestral suite no.2 the best known of the 4 he composed, with the world known Badinerie, a brief but extremely difficult page to play, a flautist almost makes his grade if he plays this piece as it should be played, here is outstanding

  • Ohhh yeeeaahh... there we go. This is the good stuff I was looking for. Semuta much....

    ^________^

  • Great music!

  • Go Bach! XD

  • busdriver

  • im just here to hold your hand when you die

  • @burnedtheniggashand

His name is Johann S. Bach

He is the composer of this

  • @burnedtheniggashand

    Words of angel...

  • imaginary places lulz

  • Tempo is way too slow for a menuet.

People need to listen only the excellence in performances to truly appreciate classical music, especially baroque pieces.

Try listening to Academy of St Martin in the Fields performances, especially when conducted by Sir Neville Marriner. Perfection.

  • amazing song

  • How can I download it ?

  • <3 badinerie

  • Muy bella interpretacion.....da mucha paz al alma....
