Some of the comments were cruel and made me think of one of the basic rules of good citizenship we were taught as little children - you know," If you can't say something nice, you can just breathe and blink instead of saying something mean." The "meanies" sound like sneering, resentful, angry people that can't remember that their negative words are useless & pitiful.
100 pages with an average of 250 words per page = 25,000 words. Divide by 3, and that's 8,000 words a day. 1,000 words an hour on average (if you write for 8 hours in the day), that comes out to 16 words per minute. This is assuming they're using the 250-word standard, but it should be something at least close to that figure.
It's not impossible, but, of course, 25,000 words does not a novel make, either. (Perhaps a novella.)
Either way, congrats, Betsy. I'm glad you took the plunge. :D
