How exactly do you get to the back country areas? i went to loveland just yesterday and only got to take the slopes where the lifts were available how do you get to the back country stuff?
@boobtoob113321 US 6 goes over Loveland Pass, Arapahoe Basin is on the other side, it takes you over the Continental Divide. You can drop in off the road, ride the south-east side or the northwest side.
Check CAIC before you go
Take avalanche courses with your friends and have and know how to use all the avy gear. Although it gets a lot of backcountry traffic people do get burried every once in a while.
YES!! You just brought back some memories man! haha i miss winter!! but i personally like the other side a lil better, more jumps and stuff =) check ours out and let us know what ya think! you might even know some people in the crash section! its the one on the right that says snowboarding loveland pass 2011
@JTJG94 Loveland Pass Colorado off of I-70. The road goes over the continental divide, us-6, Loveland resort on one side and Arapahoe basin "the legend" on the other...easy access backcountry!
Ben, WAAAYYY cool. Very impressive. Almost beheaded by a log over the trail but what the heck, eh? Loved emma's appearance. She did look worn out. Watching this ALMOST makes me want to try it...but not quite! Be safe Dad
@steeps20 Yep. All good. How about Wolf Creek Avalanche? Bummer!
Also looks like DMR is making their park out of dirt in the off season. This will make it easier to maintain but they won't be able to change it around as much.
@dmbsboarder Yes thank you! Always pick people up if you have room. You meet cool people that are having the time of their lives. We were shuttling ourselves on this day, lots of people were hitching so it was better. We had the dog too.
