  • You have some confidence i'll give you that!!

Nice vid, and I will probably use this myself.. thanks!

  • Thanks. It's easy to have confidence in front of 4 and 5 year olds. I doubt I'd try singing that song in front of 8th graders, they'd probably look at me like I had two heads! :D

  • Nice job, I definitely going to steal this idea for one of my classes. I tried to do something before, but the song I chose just had too many words. This a great choice! Not only does it teach simple vocabulary in a fun and memorable way, but you are also teaching them to think about the sounds and movements that should accompany charactes of different sizes and ages. Great preparation for those end of the year drama performances!

    Well done!

  • Thanks! This can be done with many songs. Repetition with slight variations is a great way to get the kids to pick up new vocabulary. Songs like "Old McDonald's Farm" already do this (I like to ask the kids to provide the animals and then we think about what kind of sound and motions that animal would make). Other songs can be expanded in a similar way too.

  • thanks. kids enjoy the motions and funny voices, even if they don't understand all the words, so it's a great way to introduce them to basic vocabulary and grammar like nouns (spider), verbs (climbs), and adjectives (big, fat).

  • Looks like everyone's having a lot of fun! Nice demo...like the old and gray spider...we'll give that one a go in our classes.
