On what basis does Zeeblues claim that John Popper is on this recording? This is Sister Hazel and no one else performing the song live at they've done hundreds of times.
Once again: This beautiful version of "All For You" was recorded live by Sister Hazel, not Blues Traveler, at the Star Lounge - LA radio station Star 98.7 - in 1997 and appeared in the Star Lounge Christmas collection CD issued that year. Apparently someone dislikes hearing the truth because my prior posts were removed or flagged as spam.
So beautiful! "It's hard to say what it is I see in you wonder if I'll always be with you words can't and I can't do enough to prove it's all for you."
Wow, for years and years I have been trying to tell my stepson how I feel and this song came on the radio. Through all the tears, arguments, and verbal abuse from my son I could never describe how I felt. I made him listen to this song, no words were needed he finally finally understands!
Also this version of All For You was performed by Sister Hazel - and not by Blues Traveler or anyone else. The proof is in the original recording and album notes, "Star Lounge '97 Collection," available on Amazon.

For those of you who keep saying no popper, blues traveler.... come on I expect better from y'all, he is one of the singers and helps make this song what it is. we all know he can wail on the harp and he can sing as good as anyone. so yes popper is in this song and kills it... like all of the stuff he does
Just found these guys a couple of months ago. And I am happily addicted and make no plans for rehab or letting go or getting my daily fix John Popper is a very interesting man with his harmonicas and I love his sing.
Excellent rendition. No Blues Traveler here though. Doesnt change the fact this is probably the top two performances of this song I have heard them do.
@honeyfrizzesh i'm the same way.... mom was playing Somewhere More Familiar the year was born, and i'm almost 20..... still just as good as they've always been :)
"All For You" was originally written and recorded for a contest, on which the song was to be included on a compilation CD for an environmental trust fund; before the formation of Sister Hazel. Front-man Ken Block assembled the song in 90 minutes to meet the contest's deadline.
An acoustic version of the song exists with John Popper, and features Ken Block singing a rare version of "All for You". Not saying that this is true, but maybe this is why are mistaken.
John Popper is no where in this recording. Many people seem to think this acoustic version of Sister Hazel's song has Popper singing...Sorry, not true.
This is so addicting. I have to stop listening to this song, makes me think of the same girl

The 90's had the best pop music ever. If you compare this to Lady Gaga, i'm pretty sure its easy to say which is better.
