  • It's a shame there is no LOVE button.

  • Thats was smart I did see from the other video that you could tell it was their

  • AWESOME!!!

Is it also good to do with ricoh LC1 on the LX5?

  • @gemmatayat Sorry, I'm not sure... perhaps someone else can comment...

  • Does this work for the LX5?

  • does the case that you have (i'm assuming that you have the official panasonic dmw-clx3 case) fit over the camera with this lens cap attached?

  • @johnDEUNGI Yes it does fit in the official case, see my other video of the lens cap for a demonstration.

  • Does this work for the pancake lens on the GF1?

  • @laphongtudo No - this just fits the LX3 and is designed for a compact camera with a retractable lens.

  • hey, Tm

when did this "jjc alc-3" come out???!

I see it threads on easily, unlike the LC-1. Dang, that is what I need as I change homemade adaptors, (x-tra macro, telescope and microscope attachments) all the time. Very nice.

    another 17 USD?

    moan on.

  • This works an absolute treat. I have had the Ricoh lense cap for several months but haven't fitted it because of vignetting and also as I hadn't found a modification I deemed suitable. The rubber grommets go no where near touching the lens and the operation is extremely smooth.

Aesthetically the Ricoh lens cap looks sweet.

    10/10 Techmoan.

  • Don't these small rubber steps touch the lens a bit when the cap is closed? If so they should scratch the lens which is no good. Dear uploader of the video, please coment on this.

  • @Mmaesstrro Hello Dear Viewer of the Video ;-) I understand your concern - but no, they don't touch - the lens is about 2mm away from the washers - and doesn't come into contact with the washers at any time (even during opening/closing). I've checked by manually holding open two of the leaves of the lens cap to look inside during operation.

  • @Techmoan Thanks a million. At this moment I'm struggling to buy this thing. Although I'm living in technical paradise called Japan, I could not find anything like this anywhere around.

  • Thanks Ken. It wasn't my idea - someone who linked to my blog suggested it - but I thought I'd do the video to share the knowledge around.

  • Lovely video, excellent mod. Thanks.
