This game is meant to be played with an SNES controller. Your crappy generic PC controller is not going to produce the same feel. Nor is sitting in front of a PC monitor.

If he can't afford a vintage copy, it can be purchased on Wii for 8 dollars, which is a bargain for a game this amazing. The Classic Controller is fairly suitable for it and again blows away your generic PC pad. Please don't recommend solutions that don't do the original game justice.

In a way it was kinda cool and different from "normal" boss deaths. First he melts in the lava pit then his remains (somehow) get to the opposite side of the room and break open the wall. But still a little gruesome none the less
