What gets me, is apparently Hodgepodge has absolutely no problem with his feet when running fast like Sonic does. Not to mention he has way more surface area on them. Maybe it's that, Sonic contacts the ground when running more often than he does, since he'd have a much shorter gait. Or maybe it's just cheap writing.
