@drivera4295 But at the same time plastic poses easier and doesn't chip paint. They still make die-cast mecha toys (the Soul of Chogokin line, for example), but they tend to be high priced.
The golion toy was way better than the matchbox because it came with weapons, not only the blazing sword, but also weapons for each individual lion. My cousin got this version and I was always jealous
@Kayanan23 yeah, it was part of the chogokin line of robots before they made the anime. a few mech anime in the early 80s/late 70's were from this toyline prior to their anime debut.
Cool! The orginal GoLion TV advert! I love Japanese commericals, they put such intense effort into everything, even toys adverts! Makes me want to go out and buy this 30 year toy!
To things spanky. 1 i never said anything about the crapy sentai series. All including the power rangers sucked ass. 2. Who the hell are you to to send me any negative messages. Just put down your remote stop watching Sponge Bob and go get a better job.
voltron frist season aired in march 4, 1981to febuary 24,1982 in japan frist titled "Beast king GoLion" yes GoLion. I got the all of the original VHS. And yes tit is as bitc#ing today as it was in 1984 wnen I first swa it when I was 3 y/o

How could it be a 70's spot when GoLion was first broadcasted in 1981?
Kayanan23 1 year ago 2
@Kayanan23 Perhaps it was a toy line first before they decided to make an anime about it???
vicsedobean 1 year ago
@vicsedobean Ehy, I was just wondering. But, according to wikipedia, there was no such thing. It was released in the US three years later.

I don't think anyone copied anybody. Both are completely different shows to me. So I don't see the difference between Voltron and the Sentai series.
