  • THAT SQUEAK SUCKS!!!

  • I like these videos, I am not going to go tune my piano, but I find it interesting to see some of the intricacies of tuning.

  • I find all these videos on tuning pianos very appalling.. personally I think you'll end up just being your own liability as you also need to troubleshoot problems when it arises.. eg: damper problems, rusty strings, breaking a string, destabilizing the piano,

and especially pianos with locking pegs instead of normal tuning pegs (beale)

get your pianos serviced by a professional technician.. seriously.

  • That chair would be straight in the bin if i owned it! lol

  • OMG that chair's noise..

  • Get off your fat ass! Can't you hear that bench is winning more than you!

  • I'm sorry but I agree with the statement that you need a piano bench that doesn't make so much noise. It's very distracting.

  • "Get rid of that offensive worble". lol I love it. but thanks for this post!

  • You know: I was going to watch this.. WAS. But your fucking bench is getting on my nerves. If you call your self *expertvillage, then be an expert and get rid of that god damn bench please. Thank you and happy tuning.

  • Is the bench squeaking, or is a horribly diseased animal dying?

  • Is the microphone in the seat?

  • BUY A NEW CHAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • OR you could watch paint dry

  • 3 in 1 oil will do the job

  • F*ck that bench.

  • I found Waldo!

  • Can you be more exact and zoom in on where to put that muting needle thingy?

  • ONe important thing (look at videos of concert tuners) is that holding the tuning hammer that way is twisting the pin alot, I only use that position with pianos with poor strings rendering and overtight tuning pins. it is good for raising the tension. Afterthat a position at 11:00 is where the best control is felt , and there you can deal with the pressure you use on the tuning hammer. So better change position for setting the pin (untwist, then twist back to lock the pin in block)

  • i snaped a string an it blind me, dont do it!

  • Ouch

  • hahahahahah

  • The chair is tuned to Cm.

  • did anybody notice the noisy bench?

  • god dammit.

you have to watch commercials on the internet now too?

what kind of bullshit is that?

  • @MrMacintosh909 press 'refresh' and it will go away

  • Shouldn't the tuning hammer be put parallel to the strings?

  • hahah is someone killing a duck in this vid lol holy shit that bench is ruthless

  • I'm shocked this was approved to be used as an Expert Village vlog. Sounds like he's sitting on the video mic.

  • i think the mic is up his ass.

expert village can suck the shit from my fucking ass.

    sorry i have tourretts.

  • i know how to fix the squeaky chair problem: throw it out the window and

    SHAMWOW!

    no more squeaky benches.

  • all i heard was the bench haha.

  • great video - never knew half of this stuff.

i know everyone else has said it bu please dont ever use that bench again

    OMG !!

    Thanks

  • ha ha ha the bench

  • Forget the tuning tool. Oil is all you need.

  • Haha! I cant help but laugh at ur bench dude!!

  • Maybe you can tune that bench you're sitting on

  • I pull pianos back up to 440 all the time. Tuning a piano to itself is ridiculous because it severely limits its use. You can't accompany with a piano at less than 440.

  • douchbag needs to get a better chair

  • The bench... seriously.

  • Sorry-that a was tuned too low!

  • its rare for a piano to get tuned back to 440 unless someone has kept it there since it was new, when you hire a tuner he tunes it to itself not to 440 ,but a digital is always in tune :)

  • Get.. Rid... Of... That ...Bench!!!

  • Yes. Please!

  • @detubator Agreed! Seems like it doesnt matter if the piano is in tune or not, with a bench sounding like that!

  • do you have to tune a digital piano ?

  • haha. nice

  • I lol'd

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA! This is going on failblog....

  • guys i was just joking i know the answer i work at a piano store for crying out loud digitals rule you dont have to tune them and if you want a bigger sound then you get an amp,if you live in an apt get some headphones and they simulate a 9 to 11 foot grand:P btw you can hook a digital up to your computer and you have a recording studio

  • This is too simplified to be of help to a novice.

  • as a tuner myself, squeaky benches are the first thing to go!!

  • that squeaky bench ruins this video
