The worst part of Migraine is when your sight begins to fuck up, then you know your in for a shitty ride... If there's a trick to get the vision thng away that could make my day badly !
try "feverfew" which is avail at ANY health food store...i personally know someone who takes one a day and has not had a migraine in over 5 yrs....what do you have to lose...? a couple of bucks? weigh out the possible benefits.....
i get migraines so bad i go paralized down one side of my body i lose my eye sight and hearing, i cant talk properly and im in that much pain with the headache that alot of the time i end up in hospital :( i just want it to go away but nothing i do works
@demileeq that happend to me for so many years than I went to some china doctor and he gave me some pills all natural ,it helped a lot , now pain is not so strong and does not last so long like before.maybe you should try something like that.
huhhhhhhhhh i guess taking these medicines are causing more horrible migraines right ????.......those pplz who r suffering frm migraines....should try Yoga.....the Pranayam
Electro-sensitive people suffer from a variety of symptoms in close vicinity to electromagnetic fields, Wi-fi, mobiles, DECT phones, baby monitors, certain light sources etc: Headaches, Speech problems, dizziness, chest palpations, tinnitus, sweating at night. skin irritations, pins and needles in the hands in the mornings, short-term memory loss, nauseas, joint aches and pressures at the back of the head as well as in the sinus or forehead area.
Even if you are not ES, it is beneficial to turn off your Wifi over night, as well as to ban electrical items, your cordless phones and mobiles from your bedroom. You will sleep much better and are less likely to have an interrupted sleep pattern. Usually waking around 4 am.
Another simple test is to stop carrying your mobile on your body (chest or trouser pockets). in many cases people experience the so-called “phantom text messages”. This describes a situation where every now and then you think you had a text message, when keeping the phone in your pockets, but when you checked there was no message. Some even suffer from heart palpitations. If that is case, just try for a while to carry your mobile in a bag or switch it off, while you have it in your pocket.
I have been suffering with debilitating migraines since I was 16 and I am now 24. I had a stroke when I was 16 so I cant take the normal medicines that take them away...nothing with blood thinners. The only medication that my neurologist can really give me is a narcotic which basically gets me "high". Many may think that it is fun but after doing it because I cant even think...it is just relief...
I have suffered with migraine's all my life.... I now take Magnesium Citrate daily... 200mg in the morning with breakfast, 200mg at night with dinner.... not had one FOR A YEAR !!! I HIGHLY recommend trying it

If I even so much as move my head I will have to crawl to the bathroom to throw up. I hate when I hear people at work claim they have a migraine while they continue to work. I've never been able to work through a migraine. There is no way. I've found that weed definetly helps to take the edge off of the migraines enough to where I can lay in the bed and possibly fall asleep.
I'm 28 and started getting them freshman year in high school. There is no pattern for me. Sometimes I get one every 6 months, sometimes once a year, and I had 4 in three days once. They always start with a blurring of vision for about 30 mins along with confusion and slurred speech. After that the vision clears up and about 10 mins later a pain kicks in that feels like a ice pick being shoved into the back of my right eye. Pain becomes crippling to where I can only lay on my left side.
Please check out our channel for migraine treatment. We have successfully treated people without medication who have found no relief elsewhere and in many cases made them pain free overnight. Our success rate is over 85%.
iv had SEVER migraines for years...i have literally MASTERED them...iv tested it on 8 people no drugs nothing..within 10 minutes..their out cold sleeping soundly....i charge $5 paypal..but trust me its worth it...you will probably do this EVERY TIME you have a head ache for the rest of your life, send me a private message or comment in my channel
Anyone who says that drugs have helped to prevent migraine, are suspect in my opinion. I have had migraines since 12, I am now 45 and watch what I eat, take sumatriptan(generic immitrex) 24 pills 100mgs for 140 dollars, work as well as the expensive one, go on line to save money. I only take these at the first sign of migraine. the difference between a headache and a migraine. Headaches you can do things, migraines, you are disabled by the pain, vomiting, etc. full body failure.
i used to suffer from migraine headaches and what TOTALLY stopped them was when i got 100 per cent of caffiene and refined sugar out of my body. caffiene in ones' system causes caffiene withdrawl headache. sugar in ones' system causes hypoglycemic headaches. i got off of sugar by changing over to safe artificial sweeteners.
mssharpie, you've posted this comment on several migraine videos. But you don't seem to understand that YOUR migraine triggers will be DIFFERENT to other people's. There are many different types of migraine (ie, site within the brain), and many different triggers, and combinations of triggers. For example, did you know that for some people artificial sweeteners trigger migraine? Did you also know that some very effective migraine analgesia contains caffeine?
I think any reminders are great. I know of so many triggers, but I am always happy to get a reminder that I have overlooked for a while, and coffee and refined sugars- are in soooo many products- many people overlook these. I know that honey is much better for me and that coffee is a danger.. along with soooo many other things. An elimination diet and cleanse may be a good thing to do if one suffers enough to encourage this kind of action.
Sorry another post. I just wanted to tell you all that Topamx may be good for migraine prevention but it causes just horrible and I mean very bad constipation. At least it did with me. I had to stop taking it. I took it for maybe a year or more. Even lots of fiber didn't help it. So you win some and you lose some; I guess. Some of these pills aren't good for the stomach. You can't win for losing. Sorry.
I started to get migraine headaches I think close to my mid 40s or maybe earlier. Now I'm 51 and I suffer tmj and migraine pain almost daily. Sometimes it get really bad.
I use to take Depakote for some years. Maybe I shouldn't have quit taking it but my cousin told me it could cause liver disease. It seems as though my migraine headaches began just after I quit taking this medication.
I have a precription for Topamax but I don't think I'm going to take it. I'd rather suffer three times a month than take something daily that's earned itself the nickname "Dopamax." To me, it's just not worth the cognitive side effects.
Well, I take Topamax and it has taken my migranes down from 5-6 a month to 1-2. I also take Imitrex to get rid of them once I get them, but it's so expensive - over $700 a month for me. However, I just cut back on them and I'm only buying $220 worth of Imitrex a month, saving me close to $500 a month, because the Topamax is working so well. However, the Topamax is expensive too. It's $90 a month for me. The only side effect I got from Topamax was losing 20 lbs in 3 weeks!
Plus I tell you it causes terrible constipation. And they say death starts in the colon. I still have these types of problems but nothing compared to when I took that damn topamx and I didn't even take that many mgs of it. Now I take propanalol to help migraine prevention. Not that it does that much good. I also take trazadone.
I take Propanolol too. I've had doctors confirm that Topamax causes "cognitive dulling." They just can't agree on what dose would cause that. They assure me it won't happen on 75 mg per day, but it's my brain, so I'll have to be conservative and cautious. Even though I really need to weight loss effects right about now.
You guys are making me think - which isn't easy. They do cause a "dulling" as you put it. I am not as sharp as I used to be, but I chalked it up to getting older. @Garciamrcool You need a prescription to get them. Anyone notice some of the celebs that died young had Topamax in their systems? - like Brittany Murphy & Anna Nichole? I mean they had a lot of another drugs too, but I don't know, it's getting scary to me. I think this Topamax is causing me to be angry all the time too.
The problem with taking antidepressants as a preventative medication is that the side effects may be much worse than having headaches alone. SSRI withdrawls, or even titrating up on doses on SSRIs.
In my opinion SSRI drugs aren't worth the trade off in preventing migraines.
I have taken Topamax now for years and my migraines have almost disappeared. I have suffered with them for 35 years. I still occassionally will get one, but it is controlled with Zomig. We have come a long way with these new families of drugs. Topamax is not an anti-depressant, and it is all in finding a good neurologist to help maintain your good health....you are worth.
