Scary Stories - Dream?

i have no idea but one time my leg shaked even though my brain didnt tell it to and when my eyes closed i saw neon lights flashing but when i opened my eyes there was no light it was cool and scary at the same time so what i did was think of goodtimes so i could calm down but whenever i closed my eyes lights appeared after that night it never happened again :)

I know exactly what you're talking about! I have a TV in my bedroom too, not the an old one but a relatively new model, when I turn it off it doesnt go into the little dot and wink out but it goes gray for awhile then black. There were many nights where I would feel uncomfortable in bed and when I open my eyes the television screen would be gray, this started to scare me quite a bit so I went to tell one of my best friends about it. -

My best friend is not very much into the world of paranormal activities but rather into things like Feng Shui and interior design. She didn't know what to make of my story o she just tried her best to explain things from the interior design point of view. She told me certain objects in your house represent different things and that you should never ever have a TV where you sleep because televisions represent cemeteries. This scared me so bad I moved the TV.

@vim92 While I believe in the philosophy of Feng Shui,I'm not so sure I buy into the idea that televisions represent cemeteries. I do believe that much about our brains is still a mystery, so the explanation could be, rather than paranormal, found somewhere in the functioning of our brain.

that sorta happend to me but there was no bright light and everything around me was blue and some one walked in my room the olny thing i could move was my eyes and i tried yelling at them and i couldnt talk it was really wierd it happens to me everyonce in awhile

O.O thats happend to me but not intense...

i had felt a heavy force on me while i was half asleep and saw a big shadow standing next to my bed. i jumped up and just waited for something to happen. then my eyes adjusted to the dark and i realized that it was just the vacuum with a black sweater on it.

I agree. It's pretty generally agreed that, throughout the infinite universe, the probability is that we aren't the only "intelligent" life. I think there is a good chance that there is a planet that has more evolved beings.

Hmmm. I absolutely believe that you were about to be abducted. I also believe that if they wanted to do it, nothing you could have done would have stopped them but because you were beginning to panic, they opted against it....(the Greys are known to be the careing ones) The beam of light is the mechanism of travel for them...not doors and windows. Very interesting! ( couldnt wait for you to send it, had to look it up:)

I'd go without glasses only because it eliminates distracting reflections but you look good either way. You really should watch CassetteMaster's "My Experience with Sleep Paralysis" video... buzzing, noises, floating... many of the same things you described. As for your husband waking up too, perhaps he was picking up your distress and his defensive instincts kicked in? Hope you are sleeping better now. Have you had any experiences since?

I mentioned what happened to you to my best friend and also told her about me and she thinks that we may be astral projecting. But yeah I'd research astral projection and see what you find. I'm on the fence as far as aliens go as well.

That's certainly possible. As far as aliens, I tend to believe in the multi-dimensional theory...that they are traveling between dimensions. I believe we will someday be able to do the same. :)

I have a similar thing happen to me. I'll just be falling asleep or getting ready to wake and I'll feel this pressure on my body like something is holding me down and I'll hear something in the room with me just making these creepy sounds and I'll try to scream but cant. The other day I sware I sat up, but felt as though something threw me back down on the bed.

The same thing happened to me [without the vibration] but i couldnt move and i feel paralyzed but i eventually move so fast that my heart starts to beat hard in my chest. I hate when that happens.

I had a friend back in my child hood who told me her sisters were abducted by aliens. they all slept in the same bed. dont know why, anyway they would get abducted. and when brought back to thier bed they would awaken in different places than when they fell asleep. i met her sister and the evidence of abduction scars were evident in thier right arms. look like a vacination but wiht some type of cement looking stuff in the arm like where you get vacinated at,(WIERD) its true.

Yeah i know sounds like something straight out of the X-Files. LOL Bfut if i said it once ill say it again. I know for afact that ufo's exist i have seen them above my house in 1978. 3 of them they all were just there and not moving We called the Base at bergstrom airforce base they acknowledged the that they saw it too. When I went back outside they shot out red blue and green lights similar to laser beams them in a flash they were gone. Disappeared. It is true!

I tracked one for about an hour in the 70s, but from a distance. It was just moving about in the sky in a way that nothing we had at the time could do (at least, that I knew of).

I'm glad I don't have this particular experience. I do dream/astral travel though. Aprildew could be quite right. you probably should look into doing dreamwork. Wow that sounds like one whacked out experience! Sometimes people (seem to) "feel" physical sensation during sleep that they could swear persist even after they wake up. I've had some pretty strange episodes of that nature myself.

you were astral traveling..leaves body..high vabriation and loud noise is from coming out of your body at a higher vibration than earth.The footsteps was either your husband doing the same thing (we can make noise like a ghost outiside our bodies) or it was the visitor you were traveling with in spirit form that you know in the spirit world..but not here on earth. you can google Astral Projection or Astral Traveling and it will tell you exactly what you are experiencing. I've read enough books on the subject to be familiar with the part with the floating, vibrations and loud noise..you have to be in REM sleep for this to happen.

This sounds like a sleep paralysis state to me but it's very weird your husband had a similar thing at the same time. I've had sleep paralysis episodes since I was a kid at least once a week and this is very similar to some things I've experienced within it. My father also has this and sometimes we have woken up at the exact same time of the night (in different rooms) in a panic after such experiences. That synchronicity I still cannot explain.

Sounds like mild sleep paralysis. You genuinely think you are awake. The buzzing in your ears is indicative of this state. You probably woke him up by getting closer to him, etc.

Ghost? Did someone in your family die recently? Could a strong electromagnetic field cause your nervous system to freak out like that (and cause the tv phosphors to activate)? I have no similar experience, though my parents both awoke simultaneously to a loud whooshing sound in their room a day or so after my aunt died.

I've enjoyed your scary stories. Thanks. This one reminded me of one that was told to me by my husbands uncle. Too long to tell here, and not sure I remember the details. (Although if I get a good video camera, perhaps I can interview Glenn at Thanksgiving.)  But in his case, there was snow on the ground ... triangular imprints the next morning.

And I have a story myself. As do two of my sisters.

I have a friend who believes in astral projection, which is, I guess, the ability to leave your body and travel around town. I don't know. Maybe someone or something was visiting you and you were going off to meet them on their plane. If I had the ability to astral project myself I would be so much better about getting chores completed.
