I've been listening to this version, and the Springsteen version non-stop since I last posted 3 weeks, and I got to say...this is one of the best covers I've heard. I'm sorry, this is better than the Bruce version. The sax is amazing. Second place, Bruce, third place, The Band version.

I enjoy this verson more. Possibly because it's the first version of this song I heard...but then again, this one feels more alive. With the drums and sax, it's just quite wonderful and up beat. It makes a sad meaning sound cheery with hope.

The horns sound awesome. That said, the chorus is just awful. It sounds like he's just trying to cram all the words in there. The solo vocal section at the end is painful to listen to. If you want an awesome all around version of this song look up The Band's version on their CD Jerico, it's better than Springsteen.
