I have a question, Alien. When he goes into cat form the first time, you start smite-ing him. I am also a disc priest, so I know how A/A works and whatnot, but was there a specific reason you didn't use holy fire? Doesn't it do more DPS, thus more HPS as well?

@astral1991 I think she did that to "help" the DPS on the cat, there's not much damage going in cat phase, before the shrooms, so she smites to get a little extra dps going.

@lps89br I know she was doing it to help the DPS, but I'm asking Why just smiting? Holy Fire does more damage, though has a cooldown. I dunno, just curiosity. :)

So I'm confused by this kill scorp forms flame scythe (dungeon journal) says it supposed to be 2700000 and split among the targets hit but it, how did you manage to get away with only the tank getting hit and him surviving it?

How did you handle the Scorpion slashes? Ardent Defender on one, GSing one, then having like a SP run over and disperse to split with the tank while dropping PS/Barrier and rallying cry? Also, what is exactly going on when your tank is dragging him to the wall, is this to spawn all the flame things on that side of the room?

@philgokuz1 The first one the tank used Divine Protection, the Tol Barad trinket, and the two shadow priests ran in and used Dispersion. The second the tank used Ardent Defender and a warrior used Rallying Cry; from there it alternated. Aliena was Disc so no GS. Aura Mastery was used as well, I think on the first one, maybe both.

@saonserey So explain something to me: How exactly does disc keep up with Holy? I've been trying it on my priest, and just running heroics and t11, and it can't even compare to holy. Care to give me some input?

@hwtpants im a holy priest with a disc offspec and the only fight i use disc is for Alysrazor, i can sit on one tank and his bird the whole time helping to bring it down before the tornados and then i can use barrier after her burn phase when the raid takes alot of aoe damage, im also just in a 10 man, not a 25

@hwtpants Really,i play a holy priest, but in tier 11 it was sometimes disc>holy but i guess it's balance and the way you play it really, after the 50% duration nerf on pw:s which effected alot of it's gameplay in pve anyways. But holy got the most out of the crit buff than disc in my opinion but thats not always the cast though.

@TheBayley93 I just noticed a massive difference in my hps, and mana usage. As holy, free casting, I could go for 90 seconds with Flashx2,gheal, but with disc, pennance/renew/shield/gheal, would wreck my mana in maybe 20 seconds.

@hwtpants Give me a link to your character profile. Using renew as Disc isn't such a good idea, whenever i go disc its penance PoH PoM Shields. I'm thinking since your runnig t11 in it's nerf state the attacks won't break anyone of your sinces since everying has been nerfed the shit out. Therefore your shields that won't break wont come up on the hps meter, however the other healers might outgear you since t11 was last patch, try some tier12 raids and you might see a difference.

The disc spec was wowhead_com/talent#bfGorRsbfRM­o0hZh . I realize it's somewhat off, but it wouldn't make the kind of difference I was seeing. Also, I'm comparing it to my own holy spec, so the difference has nothing to do with gear.
